Awesome comparison! I have a Bonsai and am usually running the tone knob close to max position and this confirms that. Plumes sounds more transparent and the Bonsai more woofy but still with that mid honky sound.
To my ears, the Bonsai sounds similar to a typical TS circuit where it behaves a s a high pass filter and humps the mids. I will say the Bonsai sounds darker and more "like a pedal" compared to the Plumes in this comparison.
I got the joyo Baatsin for my Tubescreamer Needs. Feels just a versatile, if not more than the Bonsai. Is it the Perfect Multi-Tubescreamer - No. Does it sound good and cost little - Yes
I like these comparison videos! Hopefully you do more. I can't believe I don't have a Plumes.
Thank you! Don't worry we got more videos coming!
I felt the same way once I bought one! I highly recommend it
genuinely dope comparison. well done!
Thank you and thanks for watching!

Thank you! Ya, the Bonsai has always been a little dark for me personally. Plumes is brighter for sure. Both are great pedals just different flavors!

I'll be very interesting to compare the $30 JOYO Vintage Overdrive. Em....
Never played a Joyo! Need to try em!

Good to know! I need to check out some Joyo stuff for sure!
Is a TS worth $150 more than a TS? No.
And yet not everyone rocks the joyo vintage OD which is simply an 808, or the EHX east river drive, another 808.
HUGS!
