Motionless in White: writes Cyberhex without Mick Gordon which sounds like doom soundtrack. Also motionless in White: writes a song with Mick Gordon which sounds like just Motionless in White
Taking into account that this is the last track on the album, I think how they closed the song off works really well. A breakdown would’ve been dope but in this case I don’t think the lack of one made the song worse
I absolutely love how much more prominent Ricky is becoming with his vocals. Such a great guitarist and vocalist. Also I love the lyrics of the song along with the music of course. But I like how this closer is basically saying the world is now apocalyptic but they’re helping bring some hope to a war torn world with music.
@@rosaevydaemoniea948 if u listen to their other songs with ricky singing it’s very obvious his voice is very recognizable and fuckin sexy and perfect i want more ricky vocals
I’m glad it subverted expectations. Everyone expected a face melter with Mick attached, but what we got was an awesome more ballad esque song. Chris’s singing is awesome. I guess the doom track folks expected would be cyberhex
It was all good. For those of us who are used to listening to Mick Gordon's DOOM soundtrack, there was that heaviness and aggressiveness, for those of us who like Chris's angsty and powerful voice, there was that too. It was great!
Everybody should know that Mick Gordon is not only Doom, I mean I also expected the song to be heavy but I still like it, both parts enjoyed working together so maybe they can make another collab in the future.
I guess I'll be the only one to say I'm a bit disappointed by it. Mick Gordon is mostly famously known for chugs on a super downtuned 8 string. If you attach his name to a song, that's what people are coming for. So if he doesn't bring that style, it subverts expectations to where it's like, what was the point of having him there. This song is weak just as a MIW song even before you attach Mick Gordon's name, but when you attach Mick Gordon's name, it's even more disappointing. His name writes a check of super downtuned chugs which this song did not cash, and there's nothing definitively Mick Gordon in this track that MIW couldn't have done themselves. This song was one of the only songs I've ever been hyped for after hearing it would feature Mick Gordon, and it's just...unremarkable.
Gives me the vibes of acceptance that the world is ending. I really dig the sound. Certainly not my favorite release so far, still goes to Slaughterhouse, but I can really relax to this and enjoy.
Chris is really flexing is vocal range and capability this album, from industrial cyberhex, to making you cry in masterpiece, to getting absolutely destroyed in slaughterhouse.
there are 4 "heavy" songs on the album, "Slaughterhouse" "Cause of death" "Burned at both ends II" and "BFBTG: Corpse nation" and maybe "Meltdown" a bit
I expected the build up would summon brutal doom breakdown but the melody and harmony of vocals of Chris with Ricky got me , goosebumps 💀🔥🤘 It was great but like , i guess we need some more XP to unlock Mick gordon heavy mode lmao .
If you want demon slaying music that make you motivated (no pun intended) you should react to Bury the Light it is a video game track from the game Devil May Cry 5. It is so much fun to listen too. But besides that love your reaction and I gotta say, this song is so demon slaying music, and have a great day.
think Mick helped more with the synth layers on this instead of guitars MiW: Guitars, drums, slight synth work Mick Gordon, Production??, Synthwork that’s how i’m guessing they made this
You have honestly grown to be my favourite reaction channel Nik. Love your content every time you upload, your streams are fun and your edits are hilarious. Thanks for this. I am more of a silent watcher, leaving a like but I felt like actually leaving some nice words. 🙏🏻
You know its the one when you see mick gordon in the title. 1:44 I was air drtrumming too lol, can confirm Im playing it wrong. Absolutely love the whole album. Its filled with banger and catchy choruses
NGL amazing production and some interesting little musical turns but I feels like so many songs I've heard already in my life. Good song overall. I guess I expected more.
I've noticed that Chris so far included rapped vocals twice on this album, first in "Cyberhex" and then in this song. I think the last time we heard Chris do any rapping was in "Voices"? (It makes sense to me, though, what with Linkin Park influencing the band, tho. I'm all for some nu metal influences.)
I love seeing my favourite band being loved in these reaction videos. Also what's up with that UNFD classified band? I've so many comments about it!! Feel like I'm missing on something here. Is this for October Ends new song?
Nik, could you check out Valley Of Snakes? They’re fantastic but are a very small band at the moment and I think having them on your channel could get them the publicity they deserve
I'm not even mad that it isnt quite as DOOM-y as we were hoping/expecting. For one, it's very catchy (imo). For two, not everything Mick gets into needs to sound exactly like DOOM; I love that they added DOOM-like elements without straying from MIW's style. I personally would give it a 9/10. The other 1/10 is that the instrumental around the 2.5-minute area could've been just a bit heavier with some chonkier synths or something (idk) - that way it would have a little bit of DOOM in it without the whole thing being just BFG Division with lyrics like some people seem to want. But I still absolutely love it the way it is. It's a perfect end-album song.
Nik you ever get a chance to check out some of Frontierers new stuff? I think they'd make some great videos. They're like... djet-core? I unno super noisy synchopated metal. You'd like, it smash.

My thoughts exactly
For all we know, it must've been an error for the feat. LOL!
LOL
I can't help but feel no one has taken advantage of Gordon's heaviness capabilities to the best yet
I feel like Mick is mainly used for his synth skills in these collabs, which are great nonetheless. But I agree, he writes great heavy music as well
I would say that the bmth feat came up there
@@jay-55X close but not in that dienty way. Like I can’t help but feel that Doom style he had would do well with vocals

Honestly, I couldn't even tell Mick was on this song at all.
I think Rick’s vocals really added an uplifting layer to the song. Loved it.
Yep Ricky is a great singer
