I love it, so many compliments when using it, but not like "what a nice perfume" but "you smell so good" and they think it's my natural scent 😆. Now I'm mixing it with my Jo Malone sage & sea salt

It is pheromone based so your scent is light floral and slightly sweet. My cousin wears it and it smells like a rose garden and musky, I wear it and it smell like fresh baked cookies and warm milk with cinnamon

On me it smells very androgynous it’s nothing like what you said just now lol . Its musky and really clean. The pink pepper really comes through. The beginning smells a bit like pencil shavings but then leaves after a few minutes once it settles.

I first smelled this in the gym locker room, which normally has a smell of sweat from all of the buff bods rushing off to their aerobics, cardio, spin classes. I walked in and rather than registering the typical sweaty gym locker room -- I smelled this! It was a stark contrast to what I was expecting the room to smell like. Who is wearing this? I followed my nose and found the girl that was wearing this and asked her what she was wearing.
It is amazingly FRESH, CLEAN, ETHERIAL, ANGELIC! This is a light hearted vibe, something that lifts the spirits! I loved it!
Again, I keep going back to the word "FRESH"! It is literally like a breath of FRESH AIR!
On me it smells very fresh like what outside smells like after it’s rained in the summer ☺️
Sniffing along with you, dug out a sample. I agree that it doesn’t really smell like a perfume, it’s more like the Escentric Molecules line, and totally could be an eyeshadow palette. I don’t get any florals at all, just soft woodsy powder, a bit like pencil shavings. It’s a “your skin but better “ type scent to my nose. You wear it and you’ll smell good but not like you’re wearing perfume.
I love this fragrance!! When I first spray it on I get barbie doll hair and kiddie make up vibes but on my skin it turns into a sweet musky smell and it lasts a very long time. My favorite bedtime fragrance!
You're right it does last well. I have it and love it! It was really popular here in Chicago when it first came out. At the time, I was an Uber driver. Soooo many riders, male and female got in wearing it. Because I love great scents, I would always compliment the rider and ask if they didn't mind sharing what scent they were wearing. Time after time, it was Glossier. I became familiar with it and decided I had to have it. The dry down is insanely soft, clean, powdery, and fresh. There's also a slight warmth to it. You may not be able to smell it on yourself after awhile ( the first spray is stronger than the dry down), but it's there! Because of its last-ability, it can be a day into night scent (without reapplying). Totally appropriate for a bar or dinner with friends....not sexy enough for a romantic date night. It's not a heavy scent, but I tend to wear it in the fall . The fall is also when I encountered most others wearing it too.

I'd love to see you do a video on the Solinotes range - the concept is that each perfume is dominated by a single note, so you can mix & match to create your own scents. Target sells them here in the states, but the company is based in France I think.

It's crazy how different it smells on everybody. I don't get powdery or violet at all! On me it is a salty, close to the skin smell. All I get is ambrox, more akin to Not a Perfume or Molecule 01 rather than Daisy by Marc Jacobs. I am not a fan of powdery or floral perfumes haha so I was surprised to hear her pick out those notes!
i definitely get a paper smell but not in a bad way. mostly i just find it smells like fresh out of the shower and i love it! nice easy wearing scent
I actually was really impressed with this. I got a free sample with my order & was always so curious about it, but to me it smells a lot like when i first get out of the shower. Really light & fresh, but also warm & really intimate. You can smell it on your skin & it smells familiar & comfortable. I was thinking it was going to be too gimmicky for me but I was wrong!

I love reading reviews for this one because it seems to be different on everyone! On me it smells very woody and peppery, with a bit of powdery musk that softens it and a hint of white florals in the background. I can't smell violet at all on me, and I've heard other people say it's bright and sparkly on them! I think it leans quite masculine on my skin because it's so woody, but I really like it 😊

Not sure I agree with the "powedery/violet" assessment, nor the cosmetic counter vibe described in this video. Glossier YOU smells 100x better than Guerlein's Insolence. To me, it is a fresh, sparkling peppery smell with a deep, warm, musky base. The orris really is not your average violet. It is aged violet root. I initially didn't think much of this perfume but kept reaching out for it... Then, when I wore it in the Californian winter, I got extremely positive feedback from people... uninvited LOL ;P I guess if you are into musky and fresh scents, this one is a unique marriage of the two. You should TOTALLY try it :)

honestly it smells like a fresh woody alcohol? i feel like u could find dupe of it but it doesn’t last long but if u want the aesthetic of it, u should buy it plus it cheaper than other expensive perfume so i’m not complaining that much

Was super excited to try this perfume bc everyone was saying how beautiful it was in an unexpected way! But when I smelled it I was underwhelming 😔 It smells really similar to Le Labo Santal 33. Which is an okay fragrance. Basically Glossier You smells like leather and dries down to a floral leather w a hint of musk. It’s an alright fragrance, but I won’t be repurchasing.
I also thought it was interesting that it actually does smell like the pages of a magazine, not exactly, but close-ish. Even though I looooove the way the pages of a magazine smell, for some reason Glossier You just doesn’t sit right with me. Sucks bc I really wanted it to be my holy grail perfume :(
Idk if it is just me.. but honestly imo the smell is quite typical, as she said, “walking in a beauty hall in a department store”. I was quite disappointed because to me it smells like nectar-ish sweet floral / candy-fruity scent, very feminine and common. Unfortunately, my other perfumes smells more unique and pleasant than this. Therefore, I don’t think there’s anything special about this perfume :/

This is sort of in the same vain as Gypsy Water or Eau Duelle. A peppery, musky, woody aromatic. Natural, unisex, and tasteful.
Yes! At first I thought pepper which turned me off a bit, but then it went musky and I love musk scents. That sample quickly turned into a full size order.

This perfum smells like a old libary. Funny enough the sample smell floral and sweet on me.
That's the exact same thought I had the first time I wore it! It smells like the library I used to frequent when I was a kid!

It's basically Chloé (EDP) by Chloé, but lighter. I have both, Glossier basically copied Chloe
Really? that much? they don't sell it in Perú (both of them) so I can't try it 1st, but if it's basically the same, I prefer a perfume which is more concentrated, for it to last longer. Glossier on the skin doesn't last much, but it does on clothing and hair. But the scent, I love it, if it's the same, I'm sold on Chloe.

I hate the smell of this perfume sm 😂 it’s not pleasant at all and smells SO strongly of black pepper, not musky or floral at all.

This on me, smells like pencil shavings. On a coworker, it smells like a combination of Gucci envy me, and moschino I love love. It lasts well on her... on me, it’s gone within 20 minutes.
