- Made a video for the Simpsons Sing the Blues album track using footage from Springfield nuclear power plant in first 6 seasons. Sung/rapped by Charles Montgomery Burns & toady sidekick Waylon Smithers, cameos from Homer & school bus driver Otto on guitar solo.
Song written by Jeff Martin & Sam Simon with Matt Groening, 1990. Much better than Do the Bartman.

I actually really like this song now! My favourite part is where Smithers says "I thought I had my mojo working, ha!" and Mr Burns says "H'm!" before saying "That man by the cooler..." He almost laughed at Smithers' joke.

Wow, that lipsyncing works surprisingly well for the most part!
I was thinking of doing a handdrawn music video for this but I can't even draw any of the characters in simple poses, so... nah.
Mr Videos & Games use bitmap and have characters on a plain or colored background. Then simply find mouth shots and copy and paste. Or google motion sprites etc.
I made a Mario video a long time ago by doing it. Just a tip :)

My buddy made a 30 second animation of a rose blooming, wilting, and losing its pedals. It was hundreds of frames, and it took him days. Animation is incredibly difficult and time consuming.

I don’t know if this has been mentioned before but it’s actually Waylon Smithers playing the guitar oppose to Otto Mann. You can hear in the Lyrics this conversation: “Hm Smithers what happened to the music?”

Then as the Guitar plays you cant faintly hear Smithers saying “mhm, oh yeah”
I just felt the slight need to bring this to attention, and a better clip for this part could possibly have been that time dear Smithers was having the time of his life playing the banjo, because it looks a lot like a guitar and it’s a pretty funny scene.

I won the cassette of this album from the library summer reading club when I was a kid and this was my favourite track.

I lived in this Christian boys home when i was in 2nd and 3rd grade and i got the simpsons sing the blues cassette tape with this song on it and took it to the boys home. They had to listen and approve any music you brought in to the campus. After listening to this tape, they said absolutely not, this tape is forbidden on this campus lmao.

Several of the songs actually had real cuss words in them and they went crazy after listening to the songs. Thought it was very inappropriate for my age and really anyone in general regardless of age but especially a kid.

I mean, I get it, but it makes us Christians seem like obnoxious, killjoy sticklers. In 1991 my brother told me he had seen a film clip for "Look At All Those Idiots". I remembered his claim when rewatching the "Deep, Deep Trouble" clip, so I looked for the first time ever; I thought this was it, after all that time. Haha. While I still thoroughly enjoyed this, it confirmed my brother lied to me 30 years ago ... ;)

I'd love to work at the nuclear power plant. It looks like they have fun there. Didn't in one of the simpsons flashback episodes they mention you don't need a college education to work there?
In the Frank Grimes episode, it's mentioned that they all have degrees except for Homer, who just showed up on the day the plant opened.
