Thanks! Yes, this station is busy. I'm not sure how many runs they do individually, but the department as a whole does about 8,500 calls per year and this is their busiest station.
@@JH-cw5po Yes, the whole area is very dense and there are a lot of busy fire departments around. For starters, The Bronx is a stone's throw away and obviously there are a number of very busy stations there. Yonkers is also close by, which is a very busy department; by far the busiest in the county. Mount Vernon, which sits between Yonkers and New Rochelle is also pretty busy. Those would be my first recommendations if you're looking to buff in the area, but there are many other departments that do several thousand calls a year in this area. Eastchester and White Plains both do around 4,000. I believe Fairview does around 3,000. Hartsdale, Greenville, Scarsdale, Town of Mamaroneck, Rye, Port Chester all do more than 1,000 but sometimes they require more patience. Hope this helps a little bit.
Thanks! Southern Westchester County is pretty dense and therefore pretty busy. Parts of Rockland County can also be somewhat busy, but not quite as much as Westchester. As you go further north it becomes quite rural very quickly, and therefore not very busy with the exception of a few bigger cities. But if you spend a day in say New Rochelle or Yonkers, you should definitely be guaranteed some calls if you pick the right stations - they are very busy. Most of the career (or combination) departments in the area are pretty busy, but may be a bit more of a gamble if you don't have a lot of time.
Awesome video! Is that station busy? How long did you wait for a call? Any idea how many calls that station gets a year?
