    Thank you so much, the subway gives me a lot of anxiety because it's so chaotic, so I've never dared take it by myself. This time, I have to take it by myself so I needed to watch this.

      I didn’t find it chaotic
      Maybe a few queues to buy tickets or maybe a bit full but not that full specially on weekends afternoons
      But Toronto subway
      I liked it a lot when I went there
      Much better unlike others such as
      Mexico City maybe
      That one is really chaotic

    Thanks for the information. One question, if I l take the subway at Sherborne station, change to Yellow line and exit at St Patrick station, can I use the same ticket to go back to Sherbourne station within 2-hours? Thanks!

      Regardless of whether you use a Presto Card or a printed ticket. The moment you “tap” on to go through the subway fare gates or board a bus/streetcar you have exactly two hours from that first tap to be able to freely transfer as much as you want onto any subway line, streetcar or bus. Hope that helps!

    When it's a divided platform is there an underground path to get to the other side

    • @VisitTorontoVideos
      @VisitTorontoVideos  4 месяца назад +1

      When you enter the subway there are stairs going down to the platforms. They are labeled above. So you have access to both platforms at all subway entrances. If you go down the wrong one, you go back up the stairs then down to the other side.

    Thanks very much for the video! Whta if you buy ordinary ticket instead of presto card, you also tap the ticket and doors will open?

    • @VisitTorontoVideos
      @VisitTorontoVideos  3 месяца назад +1

      If you have a basic ticket you have to go through the ticket counter. The doors won’t open. You can tap with a credit card now, if that’s a better option.

    Do children ride for free on the subway?

    • @VisitTorontoVideos
      @VisitTorontoVideos  3 месяца назад

      Children 12 and under ride free. You probably have to go through the aisle with an attendant to go through.

    Do they accept American credit card?

    • @VisitTorontoVideos
      @VisitTorontoVideos  Год назад +5

      You can use American credit cards to buy tickets at the machine.

      To buy PRESTO cards and PRESTO tickets, yes, but you can't pay your fare with it. Also, there is no such thing as an 'American credit card',just credit cards.

    • @boobie17
      @boobie17 Год назад +2

      My God how it shows that you're American 😂😂😂😂

    • @Neville60001
      @Neville60001 Год назад

      @xgfhsdssgfhs7576, to elabroate further, your credit card issued from an American bank can be used here, but (IIRC) you have to tell your bank that you're going on vacation so that they can clear it for purchases from a foreign payment source. You can also use your ATM card to buy PRESTO cards and PRESTO tickets here too.

    The ABSOLUTELY ridiculous thing about the TTC is this map which tries to hide the fact that a city as big as Toronto has only 2 lines by showing all these streetcar lines .

      It has 4 soon 5 and 6 and 7. Plus the streetcar system is heavily integrated into the subway system but I see your point

      To be frank, we don't really need any more subway lines here in Toronto other than ( _maybe_ ) a few spur (local) lines that would branch off from the main lines do go down a street (e.g. a Sherbourne line that would go to Queen's Quay, or a line that would go to Queen's Quay that goes down Jarvis Avenue) .We could and should be building light rail lines just like David Miller wanted to with his Transit City project.
