The value of your items is dependent on condition. The best way to find their value is to take them to someone who specializes in rare coins to be evaluated.
420 grains is the weight of the coin which equals 27.2 grams. A Mexican 8 reales was .903 fineness and 27.07 grams. When you do the math the US Trade Dollar had about 1/2 grain more silver.
The value all depends on the condition. The average for a circulated example is probably $150-300 again it depends on condition, if it is closer to mint then the value can be higher.
I would look for a coin shop near you, don't take it to a pawn or jewelry shop, try to find a place that specializes in coins. Take it in and ask them to have a look. They'll tell you if its real and probably offer you a price. You can turn that down (their quote is usually good for a while) and then take it to another shop for a second opinion. If there isn't a second shop near you... or maybe even a first shop then you might want to seek out a coin show (hopefully such things become common again.)

The US didn't produce trade dollars until 1873. If you have a 1871 seated liberty dollar the average is about $500 but it all depends on condition.
