15:18 that is an ancient caldera to have been eroded to that point! Beautiful to look at. Thanks Steve, your personal insight into your Eps is much appreciated. I'm sure that many viewers lived vicariously. Stu
Very enjoyable adventure to watch Steve. Thanks to you for showcasing what future potential cyclo tourists can expect and by that it looks excellent. Just have to learn Korean.
Grab your gear …. Catchphrase always makes me smile and now the questionable kiss by Korean guy and your composed response 😂 … Nice one budd … happy pedalling
Love your work mate. Last time I saw you you were making dirt highway touring look easy. Now you're king of the deadly treadly! I fell in love with Sth Korea in '86 when I arrived on tramp cargo ship. We spent months working around Korean ports and my memories of my times ashore there remain among my most treasured possessions. Really staunch people and great tucker. It's changed heaps but I bet the kimchi tastes as good.
Hi Simon, I'm a pretty versatile guy; a man for all seasons. It sounds like you enjoyed your journey down Memory Lane. I'm glad i could take you there. The Kim-Chi is still superb. Thanks for watching.
Great videos Steve and very informative. Drone footage was very professional ( I was surprised how the pictures stayed so beautifully steady despite the significant coastal winds) I like your relaxed riding style too 😀👍
Hi Nic, Thanks for the positive feedback...glad you enjoyed the show. I bought a new drone and this was its maiden voyage; a DJI Mini 4 Pro. For a small drone, they are surprisingly good at what they do. I'm thinkin' of the east coast of Malaysia in February so watch this space. See you on the other side.
Too hot in the Outback on the Motorbike so I’m thinkin’ the of cycle touring the east coast of Malaysia in February. I haven’t seen that neck of the woods.
Hmmm - Je Ju not quite as picturesque as most of your locations, but then you need something not so beautiful to offset against some of the gorgeous twist you brought us in the past happy New Year!
I still enjoyed the journey and it allowed me to extend my visit to Korea after taking the trouble and effort of going overseas with the bike. I guess i was trying to get the most bang for my buck. 😀
Morning Steve. Old mate the interpreted voice got "Grasshoppers" out but I reckon he might have choked on "Dick Drag." Love your innovative camera positions too, thanks mate.
As you were using the ferry did you pick up any ideas that Tasmania could use to speed up the construction of the new Bass Straight terminal in Devonport. Bruce
As usual great stuff Steve. Is it a case of it’s all about the challenge of completing the journey because to me South Korea does not look like the most exciting, picturesque place to visit 🤔🤷
@@wadeperrie I’d done SEAsia to death and was revisiting some parts of it for the fourth time (Thailand 4 visits, Vietnam 3 times, Cambodia twice blah blah blah) and so I was looking at options. The 4 Rivers Trail came up in conversation. I did Jeju to extend my journey to make the trip overseas worthwhile. I’m not sorry I did. It’s always an interesting way to experience another culture. I’m thinking the east coast of Malaysia next just as a quick getaway before the Desert riding season here in Oz. 🤔
Yeah, I was a little surprised considering the history. Maybe they have short memories. I fly the Aussie flag on the trailer (kangaroo flag) so I don’t get mistaken for other Nationalities. 😀
Hi AH, Yeah, interesting question; cheaper than you think. Bikes, like surfboards or golf clubs, are considered to be 'sporting equipment'. I just pay for extra baggage allowance (i need 40kg's plus my 7kg cabin baggage) and the bike just gets loaded as over dimensional and is packed separately on the same aircraft. It probably costs about $60-80 AUD but varies from carrier to carrier. Because I tow the trailer, the rear axle is different so hiring a bike in country is not an option for me. It all goes pretty seamlessly...it aint my first rodeo😂😂
How many Japanese cars, electronics, really anything did you see on your tour, my guess is none. I asked a Korean once about their relations with Japan, it was not a very polite response.
Now that you mention it, I didn’t see a lot of (if any) Japanese cars on the road. Korea is a very developed country and probably has its own manufacturing industries to meet the needs of their population. @@mongreldogproductions About half way between Seoul and Pusan in the middle of the country is their war museum, a very impressive place. It goes into a lot of detail about the many times the Japanese have invaded Korea over the last thousand years. FWIW the exact comment I got when asked about working with Japan is, " They have tried to invade us 12 times and failed, I am not helping them do it again.
I usually have to turn RUclips video music down and use cc; however, your video had the perfect music choices and I watched relaxed while you did all the hard work. I too found very cheap but excellent dental services in the Philippines. Your expedition was a joy to watch. Thanks for providing such an entertaining series. 👍🏻🙏🦘

Great series, I would never have thought of South Korea as a cycling destination until now. Cheers 👍
Glad to open your eyes to a new adventure destination! I only stumbled across by accident.

Great set of videos. Thanks. I like cycling but too much stress for me. Out of my comfort zone. 😊
Thanks for watching...that's the beauty of it. Gotta do things that make you realise you’re alive.

thank Steve for taking us along with you on your tours of South Korea, cheers, Garry
Yep, complete with Aussie Flag. The owner did speak with an accent but it wasn't Australian 😂😂😂
Happy New Year to you and your scaly mates. Thanks for all the adventures, great to get a taste for other countries and cultures.
Happy New Year. It was a great way to end 2024

Not my idea of a holiday but great viewing. Thanks Steve

Hi Steve, Investigators are arresting President of Sth Korea this morning, could be political unrest, take care.
Personally I think jeju island is very overrated location Mostly by Koreans who haven’t travelled out of SK
