[the shot zooms out to show a level 2 sentry shooting offscreen while the Engie takes a long drink from his beer.]
Heavy: AAAAGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!
Engineer: For instance, how am I gonna stop some big mean Mother-Hubbard from tearin' me a structurally superfluous new behind? Engineer: The answer? Use a gun. And if that don't work, use more gun.
[Another level 3 sentry fired a salvo of rockets, blowing up someone offscreen.]
Someone, probably the scout: MY AAAARRRMMMM!!!!!
[a blown-off hand lands at the Engie's feet]
Engie: Like this, heavy-caliber tripod-mounted little-old-number designed by me,
[Engie kicks the hand off screen as a level 1 sentry blows it apart]
Engie: Built by me,
[A level 1 sentry shoots offscreen]
Engie: and you best hope;
[The Engie's expression darkens, and he stares right at the camera]
Engie: not pointed at you.
[The shot slowly zooms out, showing the massacre ensuing around the Engineer.]

I never really understood what the “And you best hope... not pointed at you” part meant but it always gives me chills

BTW, how do you make those background images. They really fit in with the theme.
Thanks! I build everything in Photoshop by layering different shapes that I create using a limited grayscale palette of about eight shades. Then I add highlights and shadows for dimension, followed by a blend of color gradients.

Some dumb robots, that looked like someone just made it in a night while being drunk off his ass, trampling all over his buildings. This Texan has had enough. I think the light bouncy bit at the beginning perfectly captures his character. A nice, sweet southern man with a soft voice just looking to give some company. But the longer you stay, the longer you listen... The more you realize that he is nothing that he seems.

Synthwave is a whole lot more than just Hotline Miami, you should check it out if you like this style! I can recommend some of my favorite artists if you want, though my tastes are more toward darksynth.

@@AlexGiudici Hm, my list (aside from Daniel Deluxe since you already mentioned them) would be Vulta, Dance With the Dead, We Are Magonia, Electric Dragon (especially Night School), Alex, Deadlife, Lyde, Monomer (for chiptune synthwave fusion), King Stephen, and Gregorio Franco (he has a bunch of video game remixes on Bandcamp too). Baldocaster is also really good, but they're way lighter in tone than all the others I really like. I also love SurgeryHead, but be forewarned, their music is legitimately horror music so try to listen to it alone and in the dark.
