I get the feeling that the story behind this one is a lot higher stakes than Ride Behind You... The single line of dialogue, the darker tone and replacing the sound of paper moving with slicing noises and wolf howls makes me feel like something BIG is about to happen, or already has. Maybe in this timeline, Gray Mann decided to take out the mercs first, and now Spy is left trying to find who killed his comrades (and son) before they find him. All the while, looking over his shoulder. Because if his decades in the assasination business have taught him anything, it's that there's ALWAYS someone Right Behind You.
Wow, it’s interesting that you picked up on the “paper moving” sound from the first one, which no one else has mentioned in all these years. I believe it was some kind of percussion sample, not actually a sound effect of paper. But I agree, it happens to sound exactly like shuffling paper or pages being turned. Personally, I don’t like it! Haha. It’s the one thing I wish I could go back and change about the track because it doesn’t really make sense to me with the “car chase on a rainy night” vibe I was going for. When I first put the track together, I didn’t really pick up on it. But now it’s all I hear! :P
Personally, I really liked it! It made me picture the Spy remembering the dossier he was given on his target, and predicting their next movements so he can keep tailing them no matter where they go... or, alternatively, Spy thinking about how much money he's about to make when he takes out such a high-profile target. He's got a kid to feed, y'know! Other than the story elements, I thought it just added a nice element to the song... I'd think the first Ride Behind Me was missing something without it!
Spy shows up in his classy car, as he lights a cigarette waiting for the rest of the team. Scout Drives in with a Bright Red Sports Car, Blazing leaving smoke behind him. He rolls down the window and gets out, tripping on the ground with his ridiculously low suspension. Soldier Arrives in a battered Green Jeb With a comically oversized tire on the back, the windows are shattered as the car sputters to a stop with thick cigar smoke coming out as Soldier turns off Freedom Radio (Trademark). Pyro shows up with three wheeled car with thick black burns all over the sides. The seats inside have light layers of blood and heavy cutting, Pyro steps out of a bit of the once sky blue paint peels off the door. Demoman steps out of a perfectly white Limousine with stains on his shirt, the car drives off quietly after a couple of seconds With demoman finding a garbage can to throw away a ruined flask, spilling a bit of syrup like unknown liquid on spy's suit as he stumbles by. Heavy Drives a worn-steel colored truck with the back holding a covered crate with 'Sasha' Wrote on it. He gets out with a half eaten sandvich on the tiny dashboard. Engineer and Medic arrive together with a car looking like the Delorian with the amount of experimental gizmos that engineer put on the short, but long car. Sniper arrives last in his camper stained by layers of tan and orange dust. Sniper gets out and closes the door, causing small amounts of dust to get on him. Spy sighs, "Gentleman." I love the detail that his eyes (when they look directly at the viewer) are the same shade as if he were ubercharged. That and the song is absolutely perfect. It pays such homage to the song that inspired it, yet goes its own unique way so well that it honestly feels like an original composition with TF2 flair. It's magnificent.
The Spy’s car sped along the desert road. The debacle in Teufort had taken too long. Spy has escaped police custody, but too late to catch his flight, no thanks to a misguided hesitation over whether to save Jeremy. In four hours, an international flight left an airport that was, by all reasonable assumption, six hours away. If Spy made it, he would be in Europe this time tomorrow, and anywhere in the world by Tuesday. If he made it. It was more than just time that made this unlikely. He glanced at the rear view mirror. This was a sparse desert road; a long, poorly maintained connection more often traveled by wild hares than it was people. Even so, the vehicle becoming visible behind him wouldn’t have been so bad, except it was matching his speed. Damn. Either the Teufort police were smarter than they let on, or Grey knew where he was. Spy pulled the cig from his mouth, eyeing the car as it slowly gained ground. Then the cigarette flew out the driver’s side window, a new one between his lips. He peeled his eyes from the mirror, gripped the wheel, and floored it.
Sometimes we think Spy is annoying when playing TF2, (or even dumb if someone fails at playing him) but sometimes we have to remember that Spy is actually a really badass and awesome character This song to me perfectly expresses Spy's skill and fearlessness

I got excited when the melody started and I noticed it was in a different key But you had me *hooked* with spy’s voice: “Like a wolf... among the lambs.” Update: Wait holy crap I just noticed the wolf howl at 1:24, *n i c e* touch!!!
I’m probably at my ~15th+ loop and man this is catchy, badass and epic at the same time. I honestly love it. Gives that feeling somethings behind you. Besides, remember there’s always something or someone that’s always right behind you and you don’t know what their true intentions are..
The spy walks into the enemy base invisible with the sole purpose of killing one man. The man who was behind all of this chaos with the robots. You kill him, you eliminate all the robots. But the infiltration was the toughest job he had ever walked in on. If he was so much as caught for even a second, even if he would kill that person milliseconds later, he would be found, and everything he had worked for for the past 7 years would go to waste. Security was tight, so tight that he could barely move without being caught. Slowly, he made his way inside of the building, up to every floor of the skyscraper one by one. His target was on the roof. After he had made it past the first few floors, security grew tighter and tighter. It started to take him 15-20 minutes to even get past ONE floor. But he was determined. Finally, after what seemed like forever, he made it to the final floor. He caught security guards just as they were entering the penthouse, and slipped through at the last second. The target was within his sights, but he was surrounded by 5 guards, all holding guns. The guards were completely oblivious as to what fate held their master in a couple of seconds. Suddenly, the target's phone buzzed. He looked at it, and a look of dismay found its way to his face. He then looked at his guards with a deadly silence. "One of them is in here" The guards were trained to deal with this type of situation. They strode around the room, shooting anything that moved, or looked like a good place to hide. The spy had to hand it to them, they nearly caught him. But he had worked far too hard to be stopped here. He silently evaded their shots and danced around them in a trance-like pattern. Now the guards were starting to get nervous. Where was he? Was he even in the room? they had been searching for a minute, and they had not found anything. One of them started to act up. "I hate these things! They're like an invisible force. Like they know your every move. Like a... like a..." "Like a wolf. Among the lambs." The spy finally revealed its figure, which had a knife around the target's neck. With one swift motion, he dug the knife into his neck and dragged it with as much force as he could. A spray of blood rushed out, and the target collapsed. He had successfully slit his throat. Now, the entire world was free of the man's terrifying robots that ruled this city in a totalitarian form of government. He had done what he had sworn to do to the man all those years ago. The guards immediately pointed their weapons at the spy and fired. A spray of bullets penetrated the man's smooth skin, and the spy died before he hit the floor. He had wanted this. He had wanted them to kill him to prove to them how irrelevant he was. He was just one man, out of a mass of civilians that could do this, and by doing this, he knew that anyone could have done this. By killing him, they set him in history as some nobody who took down the most important man in the world. This proves that anyone could have done it. he also wanted them to kill him because of the bomb implanted in his heart. Once his heart stopped beating, explosives planted all across the building that he had sneakily set while he was making his way up the building went off. He had placed them in specific places so that the building would collapse upon its own self, not onto innocent people. As the building slowly crashed down, it marked something: it marked the fact that any person with enough skill could take down the most protected man in the country. It was like a Jenga tower. If you remove that singular piece, the entire building goes down...

There are over 7 billion people on this planet. Wherever you may look, your back is always turned to someone. They could be any distance away- a house, a block, an entire city, they could be on another continent. It just so happens that the person standing behind you now... Is right behind you.

Laying down taking a nice rest, the phone started shining brightly with a blinding light. A notification. Annoyed I lay up and check the device expecting a message from a friend but found that a new youtube video was uploaded. Curiously I check and found myself here and never, and I mean never did I expect to get bothered about some video and instead see literal perfection. I think I'm going to sleep to this now. I really hope we get more music like this because it truly is one of a kind and something special.

Scout is home, watching TV. His mom is at the door, telling him she's going out on a date tonight. And guess who's on the other side of the door when it opens?
1984 The campers get ready to fight this suited killer, only 3 of them are left. They don't see him, and wait. Then the killer backstabs a camper, killing him. A camper lunges an axe, the killer dodges, he turns invisible, backstabbing the dude. The last camper alive tries to run, trying to get in a car but, his throat is slit by the killer. The killer looks at his suit and said, "Oh dear, I made quite a mess." The police find the bodies, and the killer is never found.
*He thought he was done, he thought he was out...* *He was wrong.* *One last job. He had turned the streets of Los Angeles red with mobster blood last time, saved the girl, even saved his own sorry skin. He thought he could return to the retirement life.* But this time was different. They had his son, they had the love of his life, but there was one thing they didn't have... *Any time left.* *He's gonna want another smoke...*
His team had found him, covered in blood. Was it his? No one dares to speak. His colleagues dare not to ask him what had happened. All that was clear was that he had done a small part of his job. His knife hungers for more, for those who had wronged him and his team. He rose from his seat, and lit a smoke. With a smile, he patted one of his colleague's shoulder and left, leaving the scene of a bloody massacre. There's still more to kill, more back to stab. For he is the Spy, the best of his kind. A small note was left behind. It simply said- "There isn't any back I cannot stab."
I'm scared to listen to this while doing something because whenever I'll come back to this tab to check on it I'll be horrified if the eyes are in a different position than they were last time
I came here to listen to your remix of Right behind you. I never expected you to release another tf2 related thing. This pleasantly surprised me. I hope you continue to make remixes a good as this.
I’m so thankful that there’s people in the tf2 community making such gorgeous things in music, art, and writing. This is what fuels the community and inspires others, thank you for making such amazing music for the tf2 and portal community’s. I assure you that I’ll be listening for a long time.
Here is what I hear for the Opening: A Miami cop rings the doorbell of his partner's apartment, the door creaking open as he enters. Its dusk, a storm blowing outside, and the apartment is dark and foreboding. The Cop creeps into the apartment with nothing but the light from outside to illuminate his path. As we follow the cop, we see pictures of the cop and his partner, and an evidence board trying to find "The Midnight Ghost"; A murder who always evades capture, and can never be IDed. As we enter the living room we see his partner's gun, his badge, and a note on a table. As he approaches the table, we see behind him his partner, as he sneaks up behind his old pal, saying the words "Like a wolf among the Lambs" as he pulls a Knife. QUE FOOTAGE OF THE PARTNER DRIVING AWAY INTO THE NIGHT
It's 2020 everyone has started fighting again but this time it's because of a new threat and it's not the threat we expect. No matter the circumstance he will always be right behind you.
We need to make all themes for all the mercenaries. And they all have to be from different creators. Down under would be a good one for Engie, and soldier could definitely have a remix of the rocket jump waltz.
i want an animation to this song!! it go's like this, spy gets his first big job, it go's well, and he gets confident, so he go's bigger and bigger, and he gets paid more and more and starts to get cocky. scenes like of him successfully slitting someones throat, shooting them without being detected, stealing information, lots of money, his expression getting more wild each time. also money. but then one time, he slips up ending up in a bad brawl with his mask getting removed in the process, he pissed off the wrong people, knows to much, gets thrown out by his own organisation, gets his ass handed to him and now is on the run from a very angry crime boss and the government, as a wanted criminal. there are lots of scenes of close calls, jumping out a window to escape, almost hit by a car, attacked where ever he go's, and he runs until he's to tired to move, he fights and fights and still its not enough, in the end you don't know whether it worked out or not as the last few shots are of him speeding down the highway battered and bruised and scared, and several other cars chasing behind him. moral, stay humble or you are going to piss off the wrong people. also, colour scheme would match this pallet, more purple if set at night, and everything is to the beat of this song! lots of wide shots like Wes Anderson style, wide and parallel, neon lights, sleek flat colours. just imagine that, i would do it myself if i was able to. might when i finish learning animation edit 2024: im going to start learning how to use sfm!!! this might be made one day

This gives me 1980s vibes of a credit scene in a fps that takes place in LA
I got excited when the melody started and I noticed it was in a different key
But you had me *hooked* with spy’s voice: “Like a wolf... among the lambs.”
Update: Wait holy crap I just noticed the wolf howl at 1:24, *n i c e* touch!!!
😀
I’m probably at my ~15th+ loop and man this is catchy, badass and epic at the same time. I honestly love it. Gives that feeling somethings behind you. Besides, remember there’s always something or someone that’s always right behind you and you don’t know what their true intentions are..
So glad you are enjoying it!
*Scout* : oh hell yea! *Sniper* : Not bad *Solder* : Okay *Pyro* : Mhmhm *Demoman* : The is good *Heavy* : Horocho *Medic* : Oktoberfefst! *Spy* : YESSSSSSSSSS!!! *Enginer* : Good work. 👏
When your going on a field trip and the back school bus rear ends your bus.
*I never was truly on your side...*
I'm on a road trip rn and I've been listening to your other remix of this song for like 2 hours and then I see THIS I think it's a sign
I've listened to this over a dozen times now and only now I ask myself
"Why thefuq does it start with a DOORBELL!?"
😆 It’s meant to tell a little story through sound effects only.
till now this is the best song to listen to while driving in GTA 5 on a warm sunset
😎
I just noticed the Eyes moved so cool!
How spy mains feel after shaking their mouse aggressively and accidentally killing somebody.
Waiwaiwait ONE MONTH AGO? Why haven’t I seen this yet? This is an awesome side-grade to the original Ride Behind You. Great work, as always!
Thank you!
"One of them is in here"
The guards were trained to deal with this type of situation.
Like a... like a..."
"Like a wolf. Among the lambs."
The spy finally revealed its figure, which had a knife around the target's neck.
I refuse to read all of this
@@niko1773then why did you reply?
Very nicely written
@@nechdaught3412 I might’ve thought it was funny at the time to say something like that
@@niko1773 well that wasn’t very smart of you to think, honestly.
the reply sections of very large comments like this are mostly going to be visited by people who have bothered to read it and want to know what others think about it. To those people, replies like yours are more likely to come off as more obnoxious than funny.
There are over 7 billion people on this planet.
Wherever you may look, your back is always turned to someone.
They could be any distance away- a house, a block, an entire city, they could be on another continent.
It just so happens that the person standing behind you now...
Is right behind you.
The Sequel We Hoped For,But No One Expected
It's easy to forget but every time I take a step back and consider that TF2 is 13 years old and people are still producing content around it of this quality my mind is blown.
Thank you for this.
I love this game and its community
Thank you for listening! 😀
Glad you guys like the sequel! Don't forget to subscribe and check out my other TF2 and Portal remixes: ruclips.net/p/PLC3A7CE9009C91C81
btw just a suggestion, the next one make it more cyberpunky if you want to
Thanks a lot for this
Okay, this is amazing. Perfect as end credits or a trailer for a game.
Thank you so much! Your comment made my day. 🤩
How it feels when you get a connection error in the middle of an intense shootout and everyone just stands there as the timer ticks down in the top right
😂
Idk if it’s just me, but for some reason this remix really reminds me of something you’d hear in Scarface. I love it.❤️
You absolute goddamn mad lad ... YOU ABSOLUTE MAD LAD YOU MADE ANOTHER ONE AND I LOVE YOU FOR IT
🙌
He musik
He attack
But most importantly he came bacc
*right behind you*
Scout is home, watching TV. His mom is at the door, telling him she's going out on a date tonight.
And guess who's on the other side of the door when it opens?
I love how you added the ki ki ki ma ma ma from Friday the 13th
😈
I've got both Ride Behind You 1 & 2 playing at the same time, goddamn it's a damn good mashup
I like the implication that the song starts with the spy from team fortress 2 ringing my doorbell
😈😎
Aight we got the soundtracks, now we wait for the movie
"I'm Giving You A Night Call, Mr. Doe..."
Perfection! Love the way his eyes move, gives a sinister and suspicious feel from him.
Thank you! 😀

The campers get ready to fight this suited killer, only 3 of them are left.
"Like a wolf, among the lambs" never fails to give me chills, it's so good. I love your knack for building a mood through music. Keep it up, dude!
Thank you! I was so close to taking out the dialogue. Glad I left it in. 😎
I have a jet leaving in 50 minutes.
You’ve got 20.
*He thought he was done, he thought he was out...*
*He was wrong.*
*One last job. He had turned the streets of Los Angeles red with mobster blood last time, saved the girl, even saved his own sorry skin. He thought he could return to the retirement life.*
But this time was different. They had his son, they had the love of his life, but there was one thing they didn't have...
*Any time left.*
*He's gonna want another smoke...*
This has been at the top of my view history for the fourth day now
🥳
The Weeknd should totally contact you, my guy. I think you two could make some amazing tracks
This is the only thing between 2020 and the end of humanity. High quality music.
Thank you!
Me: listen to second one before the first
*ÆUSTRALEAN*
His team had found him, covered in blood. Was it his? No one dares to speak. His colleagues dare not to ask him what had happened. All that was clear was that he had done a small part of his job. His knife hungers for more, for those who had wronged him and his team. He rose from his seat, and lit a smoke. With a smile, he patted one of his colleague's shoulder and left, leaving the scene of a bloody massacre. There's still more to kill, more back to stab. For he is the Spy, the best of his kind.
A small note was left behind. It simply said-
"There isn't any back I cannot stab."
😈
“Like a wolf among the lambs”
Bro, genius
the first version: driving away from the city into the sunset
this version: infiltrating a dark mansion on very early morning with a supressed pistol
Yes! 🤩🤩🤩
Sounds Great! Keep up the Amazing Work people like you keep the game alive and going!!
Thank you! 😀
I was not expecting this. A pleasant surprise! Great work!
Thank you! 🤩
This is a perfect song to play while taking a stroll in the evening. Heavy: “Alex Giudici is credit to team!”
I'm scared to listen to this while doing something because whenever I'll come back to this tab to check on it I'll be horrified if the eyes are in a different position than they were last time
😈
@@AlexGiudici *chuckles*
I'm in danger
I came here to listen to your remix of Right behind you. I never expected you to release another tf2 related thing. This pleasantly surprised me. I hope you continue to make remixes a good as this.
Thank you!
Team Fortress 2: Right Behind You 2: Electric Boogaloo
I’m so thankful that there’s people in the tf2 community making such gorgeous things in music, art, and writing. This is what fuels the community and inspires others, thank you for making such amazing music for the tf2 and portal community’s. I assure you that I’ll be listening for a long time.
Thank you! 😀
Here is what I hear for the Opening:
A Miami cop rings the doorbell of his partner's apartment, the door creaking open as he enters.
I can't believe I'm finding out this masterpieces just now. Man all these years I could have been vibing.
Better late than never! 😎
Ngl, this is one of the best remixes of Right Behind You that I have ever heard. Excellent work!
Thank you! I’m glad you like it. 😀
I didn't know I needed more of this 😮
"Like a wolf
Among us" - Spy, probably
It's 2020 everyone has started fighting again but this time it's because of a new threat and it's not the threat we expect.
No matter the circumstance he will always be right behind you.
The return of the king
The car behind him is the spy from the first one
👀
if ride behind you is so good, why isn't there a ride behind you 2?
THERE IS
AND ITS PHENOMENAL
😀
I fear no man
But that thing
*spy with idle body and moving eyes*
It scares me
This man stole my life with one only stab.
"I am not easily impressed, and yet, you have impressed me."
Holy crap the beginning sounds like some good af intro music to a trailer. keep up the good work dude.
Thank you!
Sniper: Forestcall by Eltrorro64rus
Spy: ride behind you 1&2 by Alex Giudici
We need to make all themes for all the mercenaries. And they all have to be from different creators. Down under would be a good one for Engie, and soldier could definitely have a remix of the rocket jump waltz.
That's an absolute banger, as the first part, ngl, been waiting for this one, thanks, mate!
So glad you like it! 😀
i want an animation to this song!!
it go's like this, spy gets his first big job, it go's well, and he gets confident, so he go's bigger and bigger, and he gets paid more and more and starts to get cocky.
scenes like of him successfully slitting someones throat, shooting them without being detected, stealing information, lots of money, his expression getting more wild each time. also money.
but then one time, he slips up ending up in a bad brawl with his mask getting removed in the process, he pissed off the wrong people, knows to much, gets thrown out by his own organisation, gets his ass handed to him and now is on the run from a very angry crime boss and the government, as a wanted criminal.
there are lots of scenes of close calls, jumping out a window to escape, almost hit by a car, attacked where ever he go's, and he runs until he's to tired to move, he fights and fights and still its not enough,
in the end you don't know whether it worked out or not as the last few shots are of him speeding down the highway battered and bruised and scared, and several other cars chasing behind him. moral, stay humble or you are going to piss off the wrong people.
also, colour scheme would match this pallet, more purple if set at night, and everything is to the beat of this song! lots of wide shots like Wes Anderson style, wide and parallel, neon lights, sleek flat colours.
just imagine that, i would do it myself if i was able to. might when i finish learning animation
edit 2024: im going to start learning how to use sfm!!! this might be made one day
agreed
