@@noahchamberlain9797, the only thing he changed is that he replaced "Stay tonight in a lie" with "Stay now" at times. The same sentiment is more-or-less conveyed. I don't think it's a substantive change.
And most of the time, if Bono changes a lyric in concert, he's adapting it to fit a particular current situation. (The lyric changes in the Songs of Surrender album were different-those were based on reevaluating the lyrics from an older vantage point.)

Unbelievable! Lucky to be there last night. Some moan about a shorter set. Believe me when you see and hear these songs in person you won't be disappointed. People went nuts when Unforgettable Fire and Stay started and even those in the seats were excited about Wild Horses.
Well I would have loved to hear Red flag Day. The live version is great - and it's a song that takes me back to the early singles and the Boy and October albums. I actually cried when I got to hear the last words an chords of it when I tunded in to mixlr last night. So yes I would loved to have had the full set. Especially since they started the show a bit late. Work overtime then guys! It's not our fault that you're late for work!!! ;-)
Anything, and I mean ANYTHING off Unforgettable Fire is more than welcome on this tour. UF is their masterpiece and it may not fit the current narrative but that's fine. Throw in A Sort of Homecoming, Wire and MLK too and we're good.
They should do A short of homecoming in Dublin and Bad should have never stoped being on the setlist

To all the people criticizing Bono's voice: cut the guy some slack. He's almost 60 and has been singing for 40 years. The vocal cords age just as the rest of the body. Is his voice what it was? No, of course not. But he still sounds pretty damn good as far as I'm concerned.

The balls on these folks - dropping a whole segment (Ocean, Iris, Cedarwood Road, SBS and Until The End of the World) which has been set to stone for the past 40ish shows and just insert three songs they barely have played the past years in their stead.
It makes this the most exciting show on the tour thus far.

Great surprise! Great rendition, but it pisses me off that Bono won’t keep the original melodies or words. It distorts the whole song.
He’s pushing 60. Most dudes his age can’t hit the same notes as when they were in their 20s.
Joseph Muir, he’s doing great. His voice is sounding really good for someone who’s pushing 60. I just don’t like that he changes the melodies just too much and the lyrics.

Katie Holt, that sounds about right. I do know that. Been listening to U2 since “Achtung Baby” came out and I hold these songs so much near to my heart... So when it comes the climax parts of “The Unforgettable Fire”, you brain triggers those emotions and he spends several minutes singing “stay now... stay now”...hahahaha.. Come on... At the end of the song I am SURE he can hit the notes and he decides to do completely the opposite..hahaha..
So just you don’t think I am a sour person, I will tell you that the instrumentals are impeccable and the band were able to recreate the magic that is this song. 🙂🙂

Easier for him to sing, lengthens the song. Overall, I kind of like it. It seems more genuine (emotionally), which is kind of ironic since the song is about a one night stand.

They did that the last tour. Joshua tree and this tour were both great, but for completely different reasons.

Bono getting better, didn't mess the intro up by talking and focused on his job singing. Alittle annoying with "Stay Now" and not sticking with lyrics like he does to great songs, but way better than many hes performed disappointingly. I wanna thank Larry Adam Edge who always seem to do their jobs and keep the magic going as Bono stays out of the music duty mostly with talk and screwd lyrics
if bono goes any slower he'll be going backward, maybe he should ask Jagger for some tips. He's just going through the motions here, if I paid to watch this I'd be disappointed, he acts like someone at a wake
i don't think he has ever recovered from the injuries he sustained..people have to remember the bike incident he had, which led to surgery and metal implants in his arm and hand.. he's also had some other health issues that have been kept private, but were life threatening..for about 5-6 years now his movement has been impaired and I doubt he'll ever play the guitar ever again.he looks like he has aged about 30 years since the 360 tour..

Compare how they sound now and compare it with what they were doing mid 80's and through the 90's,used to love this band,their shows and music but they are now very bland,all look and sound like they cant really be bothered and they are now sound very boring,as for Bono 2 to 3 mins talking absolute bollox between every song is excruciating to listen to.This band have lost it big time they really should retire.
