the fact that people humanize animal too much is a bit unsettling, like instead of wondering why an animal may do that they make up a narrative with a human behavior... it's just bad... mostly for the animal. that is not loving animals
@Francesca like no one told them as a kid that those aren't humans and they don't like or do human things 😂 also besides that, wouldn't this be one google search away? I don't get how people don't inform themselves about their pets Whenever my pets used to do something new i would always research it and make sure all is good etc

As a person who has problems with self control and controlling impulses (meaning to try and not do something that my brain feels like it has to do even though its not good) and, even though swimming in your fish tank may seem like the most fun thing ever, I never thought someone would be dumb enough to actually try that. There are the dumb people, and then there are the dumber people
I'll be the first to sign the peace treaty when twitch chat decides to be nice to the people who have a life and don't have time to hop onto a twitch live every time Zak streams.
3:21 That would be most fish. There are indeed some fish that enjoy the attention of humans. They don’t play dead, though, they’ll just swim into you until you scratch their chin or whatever.
I don’t think avnj will ever see this, and I don’t care if he doesn’t. I just want him to know how much I appreciate his content and how happy watching him do dumb stuff with fish makes me feel. Love your content man❤
6:27 fun fact, in octopuses the main brain is actually pretty small, it's shaped like a donut and wraps around the esophagus - the big squishy head (mantle) is where they keep all the rest of their organs as well
10:44 i imagine they dont bc theyre filter feeders and need to conserve the energy. they're super sweet animals tho, iirc they sometimes help divers in distress by pushing them up to the surface. they're so smart.
There are venomous snakes where you live AVNJ, there are copperheads and timber rattlesnakes. The copperhead is pretty elusive and not super common, and the timber rattlesnake is extremely rare, but they do exist there. I don't know that they are fatally venomous to an adult.
we might be in the middle of a war but when someone in the chat said “chainsaw man” at the “guy chainsawing through ice to get a frozen fish” video i chuckled
My school once brought all the 10th graders out to a private pond to fish. Turns out the reason was the fish the owners had introduced there for sport fishing had overpopulated the pond. We were being sent there to just get as many out as possible, with it disguised as a learning activity. The pond was so crowded that every time a cast my line, I would snag a fish. There were about thirty people fishing and each of us caught over 12 an hour at least. It was crazy.
8:13 that is a Portugese Man o' War and like 6 Glaucus Atlanticus. The latter are nudibranchs which float upside down on the surface of the water, usually out in the open sea, but can get swept up by currents and brought to beaches. Those nudibranchs eat the Man o' War, and use it's venom to defend themselves, making them actually more dangerous, since they usually administer higher dosages of said venom, due to preying on the Man o' War. That is one terrifying tub. They probably put them all into the tub, since they're supposed to be in the open, not at the beach and can be really dangerous to people dumb enough to pick them up, with their bare hands.
9:30 it could be the people who specialize in car recovery. A lot of states have really hefty fines if your car or other vehicle falls through the ice, so companies specialize in recovering them in winter, since the machinery can be easier to place and use in winter (once the ice is thick enough).

Hey m8, I'm loving your channel so far, and got a reaction recommendation for you: Davey Gunface's video called "Coelacanths are terrible, yet lovable abominations of nature. Here's a few reasons why." It's at the same time the most informative video on Coelacanths I've ever watched, and a big, long meme in a half-monotone voice fit for someone who has learned far more than they wished they had.
Using electricity as a weapon is cool but using it to feel your surroundings or communicate with other fish even before humans called it electricity is even better.
on the fish attention thing. i had a red tiger oscar, that would go to the top of the water and splash hard as hell till i came over, and would stop if i was near the tank, if i walk away he would start splashing again.
Problem with comparing volt is that it doesn’t really say much about electricity. Imagine it like this. A small spray of water cant do shit when it’s coming at you at 2 m/s but when 100 liter of water flood you with even a quarter of that you will struggle more with that.
The man o war is the preferred food of the blue sea dragons. They eat them to store the nematocysts and use them as a weapon later. He probably tries to keep them and feed them.
