the interesting thing about hit scan and the lag stuff lewis was talking about is that when technology progressed beyond that point in the late 2000s anti-lag measures were added so everything was much fairer (interpolation etc). but the thing is nowadays people have forgotten how anti-lag works are always winging about how "unfair" it is when they die in a multiplayer fps despite the fact its obvious the other person shot first and the anti-lag was compensating for the enemy's worse connection. its like people with better computers and connection just EXPECT to win nowadays because of all the marketing "gaming" stuff gets and so complain when their expensive computer doesnt automatically win for them.
I like people winging about how unfair it is in response to someone detailing how people winge about unfairness. The three fuck ups lewis did in that final round: 1. Take his eyes off Duncan. A few more seconds and he would have seen Duncan kill the detective. 2. the rich guy: spawns with 2 credits that he can donate to the police for protection. every x time hes alive he receives more credits that he can donate if the traitor kills him the traitor gets all the credits hes generated so far in the round. edit: the old man and the rich guy are mortal enemies
It's always a good idea to give the cat a bat (when shes in a session) but when mr Ravs has the bat, his RDM stands for "Real Detective Menace"! mwuaha
Right at the opening they come up with an honestly really good idea for a role. I'd call it "The rich man" and both traitors and the detective would be told whether there is or isn't one, and they'd win the same way 'the old man' does. Just living to the end of the round no matter who actually wins. And maybe they get some bonus for hoarding even more credits? This may call for a new "team" to be added of neutral roles like the old man, the drunk and the rich man. Who knows. Just my thoughts. I also like the "treasure goblin" or just "goblin" role. That idea sounds more like a jester variant that you WANT to kill because they give a TON of credits. xD
Idea for a Jester Role -> Queen Bee, they spawn with a pocket bee (nerfed bee damage maybe?) and have a buy menu to get Bee Grenades meaning they can actually take credits. To pay homage to the Bees Win, they win if they are the last one standing similar to the Clown.
