  • In this video, Strymon Co-Founder and Sound Designer Pete Celi takes you through the advanced features found within DIG Dual Digital Delay. Learn more at strymon.net/dig
    Table of Contents:
    0:13 -- Secondary Function -- Delay 2 Repeats
    0:57 -- Secondary Function -- Free Mode
    2:47 -- Secondary Function -- Delay 1 Subdivision
    4:45 -- Circular Repeats function
    =============
    DIG unearths the true soul of digital delay and doubles it-two simultaneous, integrated delays with the captivating rack delay voicings from the 1980s and today, for incredible expressive potential.
    Effortlessly create your own world of intricate and synchronized echoes, along with hypnotic and atmospheric repeats that blur the line between delay and reverb. Stretch your sonic horizons with five musically satisfying rhythmic subdivisions and three dual delay routing options. Go from syncopated, pulsating delay patterns, to evocative, spaced-out echo trails all in a compact, pedalboard-friendly format.

    I love how humble the Strymon team guys are,they just let the pedal speak for itself not like many other company who's products demoes scream how their products are the best when very often that's not the case.Humble is the key to great success and hard work and talent behind all that,Strymon you're the best.

    Very interesting and complex stomp box. Think those who enjoy stacking delays will trade away and sell their small delays and opt for this magic - great to see more use of tap hold feature. Wish it was on Flint for Tremelo speed ramp up.
    Never a dull moment coming out of Strymon - love it!

    Eventually my pedal board will look like a Strymon Skittles color covered board. It’s either this pedal or the Ola chorus next...

      DIG dual delay small pedal ultra vesrsatile with hidden features,Timeline one delay(except dual mode) thought to think I'd rather go with DIG and El Capistan run them in series and voila three delay pedals with great vintage and 80s and modern sound.

    Just... haha I dont even know... beyond comprehension just how extraordinary this really is. You Strymon folks are either aliens or you all sold your souls for rock n roll tonal dominance. Either way, THANK YOU!!!

      +strymon mmmhmm tell it to the judge. Hey, why dont you make in depth vids for the Brigadier? I saw a demo that blew me away. I wish you'd make a vid that goes over the full feature set. Please please?

    • @strymon
      @strymon  8 лет назад

      +brian patrick :D Couldn't agree more about some in depth Brigadier videos. We were just growing when Brigadier was released and we hadn't developed our videos yet. It's be great to go back and make those. I'll send off your request to the team and hope we can fit in some time for those. Thanks!

    I took note of the Infinity feature by holding the TAP footswitch, but, I have yet to find a video of the DIG self
    oscillating. I love to do that with my MXR Carbon Copy Deluxe... If the DIG can do a nice self oscillation, then I am $OLD!

    • @Jimbo386000
      @Jimbo386000 Год назад

      So idk if you've found this out already, bit in case someone has the same question, tape delays and analog delays are the ones that self oscillate as far as I'm aware. I don't think digital delays do. So something like the El capistan or the volante (which I have and it's very nice) would be what you're looking for.

    It sounds amazing my only confusion is after using the Secondary function how exactly do I bring every button back to default?

    • @strymon
      @strymon  3 года назад +2

      You are only controlling the secondary functions when you press and hold both footswitches. As soon as they are released, you are back to controlling the normal functions.

    On minute 1:59 you create a really pretty sound however , you state that delay 2 is running on free mode & I see that button to be dialed on the pink section (sync mode) which I thought was a default setting. Can you please clarify I'm still a bit confused?
    Thank you

    • @strymon
      @strymon  3 года назад +1

      Hey! Around 1:00 Pete sets Delay 2 to Free Mode, which is not the factory default. Then he lowers the TIME 2 knob to the minimum delay time to create that chorus sound.

  • @hoplophobe
    @hoplophobe 4 года назад

    With the repeats knob secondary function set to delay 2 only, how does one then control the repeats of delay 1?

    • @strymon
      @strymon  4 года назад +2

      The REPEATS knob only controls the Delay 2 repeats when you are pressing both footswitches. Otherwise, it will always control the repeats for Delay 1.

  • @christopherromero3311

    When you go to free mode and turn the pedal off does it go back to normal with two delays? Also if you guys can shoot an acoustic strymon volante video next thanks

    • @strymon
      @strymon  5 лет назад

      When set to free mode, you decouple DELAY 2 from DELAY 1 allowing you to set an individual delay time for each DELAY instead of having DELAY 2 always set as a tap division of DELAY 1. The pedal remains this way persisting through power cycles until you manually change this mode back again.

    Is there a way to have the delay's run in Parallel, yet still share the same stereo field rather than panned hard left and hard right? Thanks

    • @strymon
      @strymon  4 года назад +3

      Hello! Whenever running the delays in parallel, one will always be assigned fully to each one of the outputs. There is no way for them to share the same stereo field.

    • @strymon
      @strymon  3 месяца назад

      The new V2 version of DIG relies on the secondaries much less than this original version, and it has a few new features that you might find interesting as well. Hope that helps!

    Love your products, they are on my pedal board,...but in an attempt to maybe save money by keeping the same pedal box size and knobs as your other products, you have made your product very complex. One could spend days trying to fathom all combinations. Make a new pedal box...add some knobs. Make them easier to obtain the sound we want....just a thought
