I just got the 5M and took it out today in gusty 15 - 25 knot winds with a Mikes Lab 540 and then a 340 front wing. It is incredible how fast and stable the wing is. It truly unlocks the potential of a fast foil and I hit my all time high speed in less than ideal choppy conditions. While the upwind angle of attack and speed was amazing the downwind speed was insane. It takes a bit of time to get used to the wing, but once you do it is hard to go back. Looking forward to some reviews of the larger sizes which I hope will be released soon!
Thanks for your words, we are all excited to see where this goes in the hands of our customers and riders, it is them who are the pioneers of pushing the sport! It is a team effort and exciting times.
Hi, I was curious about 2 things. When you say you need to fly it more on the front handle, I dont really understand what you mean by this. Could you clarify this further? Also, after a session I can imagine it wont dry as fast as a normal wing. How do you dry the inside of this wing properly?
@@MachielSpruit1972 Hi, please check our site for the Dutch dealers, the Fusion is shipping to Holland now and so should be available in the coming week. Enjoy!
CAN IT BE REPAIRED? Yes it can. Although there are two layers of canopy to deal with, the leading edge closing seam is positioned on the outside, so if you somehow manage to pierce the leading edge this can easily be accessed. Zips next to the inflation valves on the leading edge and strut also allow for easy bladder replacement. Repairing damaged sail cloth can be more complex than for a single surface wing as multiple seams may need to be opened if you damage more than one canopy surface. If you somehow manage to damage part of the internal rib structure it would require more intricate work by a sail repairer, but the ribs are not attached to the leading edge, so the stitching can be unpicked and replaced without needing to unpick the leading edge.
So sick🔥 The question is what size to get. Looks like they handle strong winds and have a good wind range. You wanna ride them with a small board and small foil to minimize drag at maximize speed. Sounds like they are a bit heavier and more to wrangle with the extra lift. And how's the low end? Small board small foil starts.....maybe the largest size is the best. But, would be nice to have less wing once up on foil. 😂😝🤷♂️
Right on haha! Getting going in lighter conditions will be some getting used to in the beginning, but once you're up on the foil, you'll generate speed quite easily thanks to the added efficiency. Definitely need the highest performance foil setup in your quiver!

The 5m will get you out in 14kts comfortably and excels for racing and speed up until 25kts. If you're keen for some floaty jumps it can be taken out until around 30kts

Been saying kites need this for 15yrs... Now SPEEDWINGS next please!!, I was about to ask you guys for a custom project. Safer launch and smooth wing profile, no cell ripples or jellyfishing, maybe even less lines could mean faster... (add a forward prone harness and we could create a hybrid wingsuit style sport with a safer launch, and landing without a deployment? BFL reducer) 🙏🙏🙏
Waiting for you guys to develop a Fusion KITE!!!!

well done Ozone. thats how you propel the sport forward.
Interesting technology executed at the highest level! Excited to see how Ozone will pioneer this.

Looks very nice. The next contests will prove this design to be better, or not so much.
When are you making a windsurfing sail?
Oh man I want to see this on a kite ASAP!! I've got doodles of these sort of designs from highschool!
Wow!! Sieht sooo cool aus 👍 Wie ein Wing aus der Zukunft 🚀 Spannendes Design - bin gespannt wie der sich fliegt 🙌 Liebe Grüße, Max 🙋♂️

looks amazing!! Why isnt the doubble surface used in normal kites? wouldnt it also increase performance using this with normal tube kites?
Foil kites?
@@skatrica as i said i mean with normal tube kites you now those you pump up
Looks incredible!
Thanks, we hope you get to try one soon! Ask your local dealer for a demo and go FAST.

I have ordered mine!
😁🤙
Make sure to test it with the Rise! 🤭
Looks revolutionary 😊 but are you not worried about salt crystals forming in the insides of the tubes
Amazing. Sounds good
Will the wings themselves become heavier as the fabric increases?
How much faster than a regular wing? How much higher will it jump?
Looks amazing... need to try
Where do you live? I am sure your Ozone dealer will have one delivered soon!
@@IainHannay In the Netherlands, for sure we will get access but not sure when

Intresting to test it.
Awesome to hear you want to try it! We'd love to hear more about your experience and any feedback you might have after testing it.
Seems like patching a tear (even small) in the wing will be far more challenging than regular wing?

boys you are secretly telling us that inflatable kites(LEI) have turbulence in their lower side too? :)
Indeed. 😂
Double skin kite soon 😅
Maybe it works on tube kites, who knows, Ozone should test it.

Just take the next step and make the leading edge smaller.
That just would need a quantum leap in construction
