      Thanks so much javier, this means a lot to me as a new content creator. Appreciate it and will absolutely keep it up! Did you play the COH 3 multiplayer test recently?

      i have almost 3000 hours played between coh1 and coh2 but last year my pc died and this year i moved to a different city for work. I only have my work PC and I'm thinking of building a new one just to play coh3, what do you think? Is it good enough?

      @@javierbalmaceda3607 Oh wow, I see! Honestly, I think it is worth it javier. I just built my own PC last month, exclusively for CoH3, and I am not disappointed in the slightest. They need like 12 more months of polish and development to make it the true successor of COH1, but I think the potential for this game is very high over time.
      Btw 3,000 hours is really solid, you are a veteran of the series, we need you in on the action! haha

    i sometimes have a hard time managing everything on screen its alot to loook after...i dont have much experince with RTS games though. i love the ww2 era though. i should practice with AI for a fair while

      Hey Derek, welcome to the channel! It’s so cool to see comments like yours because I remember when I first started playing RTS games. They are very difficult at first for everyone, not just you, as it takes time to get used to the game mechanics and management of multiple units. It’s a very different feel than other genres like FPS and MOBA.
      It’s exciting that you’re starting out with Company of Heroes right before the release of COH3! This is my favorite franchise of all time and it’s a great time to be a strategy game fan.
      And I’m the same way, WW2 has always peaked my interest. It was such an unprecedented time in history.
      Practicing against the AI is a great place to start. I hope I can put out guides and tips that will benefit you along your COH journey. If you ever want to team up for a game, let me know, I would be happy to team up and even give some pointers.
      GL HF!

    i know the game is not finished but i dont like the grafics so far, i played one match yesterday. first COH ist still my favorite

    • @SargeGG
      @SargeGG  Год назад +1

      Hey dobbysurround, are the graphics a bit too cartoony for you? Anything in particular you are not a fan of?
      I agree with you - COH 1 had a polish and refinement that was truly 1st class, unparalleled in the genre and industry. It was a work of art and the programmers behind the game had the code down to a science.
      Relic is trying hard to reference and imitate the first COH, but I think COH 3 needs more time to achieve that polish. I honestly think it needs about 3-6 more months and mod support, post-launch, to get the game into its ideal state.

      @dobbysurround1540 Год назад +1

      @@SargeGG yeah its a bit to cartoony, good point here, artillery fire and explosions in general are not this point at qualitiy as in the first game. but maybe its only my opinion

    • @SargeGG
      @SargeGG  Год назад +2

      @@dobbysurround1540I think it’s a fair assessment, I’ve heard that feedback quite a bit. I think the console ports had something to do with the artwork and design choice but that’s just my assumption.
      I personally enjoy the overall style but I would like for them to polish the colors and contrast, as they are a bit off.
      Oh and yes, both the explosion physics and audio still need a lot of work. I actually think they have the potential to look great but are very minimal.
      I almost wonder if this tech test build we are playing is an older version of the game.

    I can still remember my reaction the first time when I saw coh1 graphics. It was a wow sensation and mesmerizing that a strategy game was graphics-wise on par with a triple AAA shooter back then. That was a achievement unheard of back in those days. Coh2 had slight improvements in graphics, but added a lot more depth in tactical variety due to all the commanders. U really had to pay attention to the pregame screen to assess the commanders of the enemy and their options and build order. Though it took me a bit to get used to that one was so close up to the units and u didnt seem able to zoom out far enough compared to coh1. Regarding coh3 it will all come down to the new dynamic campaign map. If that experiment fails, coh3 has basically no new innovations and is quite a failure.

      Hey VegetaWien, I love your description because you captured my exact impressions when I first played COH 1. I was really young and picked it up at GameStop, totally captivated by the game-box which was very well done haha, despite the GameStop employee insisting that I am too young to enjoy a game of this complexity lmao. I too was absolutely blown away by the game graphics, audio, and overall immersion. There was nothing quite like it, you are right about that.
      COH 1 had a polish and refinement that was truly 1st class, unparalleled in the genre and industry. It was a work of art and the programmers behind the game had the code down to a science. Sometimes I wonder if those same programmers are still working for Relic haha.
      But yes, COH 2 totally built upon tactical and gameplay elements but if you remember - it had a very shaky and slow start due to inner turmoil at Relic. It took years for it to reach its current state.
      I know COH 3 is starting off a little slow in this regard, but I am very confident that it will surpass COH 2 in all respects once Relic is done polishing the game - as they seem very committed to feedback. We also have full mod support from day 1, so that will work wonders in helping to get the game custom tailored to community desires.
      Stay hopeful my friend, I think only good things to come!

    @SargeGG what are your thoughts so far of the game?

    • @SargeGG
      @SargeGG  Год назад +2

      Hey Leander, overall positive, I am cautiously optimistic so far.
      From a game design perspective, they did a great job! There are a lot of good things that make for good gameplay and build upon the franchise fundamentals.
      However, I would say that the game is majorly lacking in the polish that the COH franchise is known for, especially COH 1. I think they need 3-6 more months to polish and refine the game before it really has that visual sharpness and smooth interactive combat that the franchise is known for. But releasing games that are not ready and then patching them afterwards has become an industry norm these days.
      I think there are a lot of factors as to why the game is not ready yet, such as investing heavily in the dynamic campaign and console ports, but i am confident that they will continue to polish the fundamental game. We will get there but it’s just going to take some time. The mod support will be instrumental for accomplishing these objectives post-launch.
      But knowing that it’s not fully ready yet, I am having a blast playing the game. It has a lot of potential.
      How about you? Any initial thoughts?

    • @7777Leander
      @7777Leander Год назад +1

      Unfortunately, I’m not able to play the beta as I don’t have access to my desktop. However, I’ve watched a few videos and I agree with everything you’ve said. The visuals definitely need some refinement. I’d rather that need fixing than the faction design and gameplay. Still, it’s a shame the game still looks rather rough this early to release

    • @SargeGG
      @SargeGG  Год назад +1

      @@7777Leander Yeah exactly, the faction design and gameplay seem solid, happy about the design direction. But yes, I am a little surprised by it too. Now we know why the game was initially delayed but they are very receptive to community feedback and that is reassuring. Stay hopeful, my friend! Good things to come!

  • @bdlamini9002
    @bdlamini9002 Год назад +2

    The game play mechanics are good and the units are cool too. However the sounds of the explosions and the sounds of the direct fire don't really sound as real as in Coh2. Also the indirect fire is way too accurate. Of course this is a beta but launch being so close I am doubtful things will improve much from this.

    • @SargeGG
      @SargeGG  Год назад +1

      Hey bdlamini! I totally agree that the gameplay mechanics and faction design are solid, actually really happy about the design direction.
      However, you are right about the graphics and physics not having the polish that the franchise is known for, especially as the 3rd instalment in the series 10 years later! You’d expect high-end tech this close to release.
      Ultimately, I think there are a lot of factors as to why the game is not ready yet, such as investing heavily in the dynamic campaign and console ports, but i am confident that they will continue to polish the fundamental game. The mod support will be instrumental for accomplishing these objectives post-launch. I really believe Relic is listening to community feedback and will be dedicated to polishing the game until it’s in an ideal state. If you remember, COH 2 started off on very shaky ground and took years to reach the state it is in now. I think COH 3 will fair much better in the long run.
