I used 2mm thick abs - which is the absolute maximum I'd recommend. 1mm would probably have gotten the job done and would have molded easier. Yes, I used glue directly on the clear - just make sure it's glue designed for plastic to plastic or it'll do nothing.
It came out absolutely fantastic. Sad that it runs so big. I just got the Phase II Clone Trooper helmet, and I can simply swim in this. I wanted to build a custom trooper around it, but I simply need a smaller bucket. Guess the way will be to 3d print it this time...
I'm an adult with a rather large head and it fits me just fine. It is a kid's toy though. Also it can technically be split in two so realistically I think it could fit anyone.
I remember having this helmet I forgot what happened to it I used to have the Star Wars Clone Wars Oregon Scientific Laptop that I always played it was amazing how great these products were and that it was a full helmet and not just a front piece of a helmet and not back or top and it’s actually a helmet not quality has went to just a trash front of the helmet with a rubber strap on the back.
Dude i used to wear the plane jane White one for years, it was a big part of my Childhood. Had some great times with it.
Thanks for Making this I want to tempt the same for mine at least the visor part
It's a fun project to attempt, good luck!
Do you remember what thickness the abs plastic was? And did you glue that straight onto the clear visor?

Does the sound still works after painnting? Or is it possible that painting harm to the voice changer?
Sound still works perfectly fine. It wasn't harmed at all.
That is soo freaking cool!
Lol I'm glad someone enjoys it besides me.
That looks fantastic!
Thanks!
Dude that is absolutely incredible super talented
Thanks brother!
Awesome video
Thanks!
That’s is so good , the wash you use it comes from any hobby shop?
I'd think most hobby shops would have some version of it. There are multiple colors available.
What size head does the helmet fit onto?

@@DrahcirsComicsandThings thanks man im looking to buy one so this helped a lot
I wonder why they made the visor si frigin huge
Seeing as it was a toy I imagine it was liability - have to make sure the kids could clearly see out of it.
You are so underratted
I would try this if... scalpers wouldnt sell them for 50 dollars and up
