Thank you so much for sharing this fantastic book by Alistair McLean. It is amazing that some of McLean's books like 'Where Eagles Dare'', 'Ice Station Zebra' and 'Guns of Navarone'' where fantastic adaptations, there were others like 'The Satan Bug' and 'The Last Frontier (known as The Secret Ways)' which were appalling. I have read the Satan Bug many times and am thoroughly enjoying listening to this awesome boot. Thanks again for sharing this gem!

@@ClassicAudiobooks29 AM just had a talent for crafting the most subtly perfect sentences, often with a dry underlying humour. I don't want to 'spoil' anything so let's just say I took a grim satisfaction in the ending. Same with The Guns Of Navarone and PARTICULARLY The Golden Rendezvous. I enjoyed what happened to the bad guy in Night Without End. When are you going to upload The Golden Gate?
@@susanp.collins7834 Although I truly love the blockbusters like Guns of Navarone, Ice Station Zebra, and Where Eagles Dare my personal favorites are this book, Puppet on a Chain, Night Without End, and definitely The Golden Gate. I also hope The Golden Gate will be uploaded soon!
Great reading, but your recording is "waving" in volume and equalizer (from treble till bass and from loud to softer :-(
