Trying to describe flowmaster sound to someone "It sounds like a misfiring hovercraft at idle and when you mash the pedal it sounds like a jackhammer But in a really good way!"
It sounds like someone desperately trying to remind you you're driving basically a big cluster of fancy shaped sheet metal and the biggest concentration in the front is making a bunch of tiny explosions and these explosions are relieved into a real metal pipe instead of some cookie cutter super quiet plastic molded double muffled abomination like you get in a modern car.
Sounds so good. Love hearing it run without the cam lope that sounds as if it's going to stall at any moment like most of the American vids along these lines.
I just bought 3 inch American thunder exhaust, h pipe, super 40s because of this vid. I can’t wait to hear it run this September. Thank you very much. The sound is perfect
I love the sound of this exhaust! Can you give me some details? I have a 68 Charger 440 car and I've been listening to a bunch of Flowmaster videos and this one is by far the best. Do you have long tube headers? 2.5 or 3 inch exhaust? Super 40 mufflers, Super 44s, Original 40s? Thanks!
My 440 challenger had 2 1/2 exhaust with glass packs out the back with original challenger tips I loved it. It had a really deep sound to it ,nice thing about it is it didn't have a poping or farting sound to it just that awesome deep rumble.
Hopefully there’s one waitin for me to buy one day in the future 🔥🙏🏿💯 these are the best muscle cars in the country. Might get over a Challenger! Let’s wait into the future and see! 😁
gheddi I agree brotha. I’d take it out sometimes, but not drive it everyday. Good ol mopar engine, so it’s strong. 💪🏿 Really am happy to here from you that there’s actually companies that make good aftermarket parts for em! I got even greater confidence!
I've got an Aussie dart with a 451 an hurricane exhaust it sounds like a dam Cessna I'm looking at changing my mufflers just exactly what model muffler did you use I love that sound an the car
Thanks man. 224 Comp cams and Pro sealed pistons.. more compression than stock.. full exhaust, headers and flowmaster tubes, it has Holley 750 now and MSD
I love JDM, too, but I have a broad appreciation for many different kinds of cars. This Charger sounds awesome, but so do most Ferraris, and many cars from all over the world. Variety is the spice of life, people. We should appreciate a little bit of everything, not just cars in one category or country.
My head went through the windshield of one of those in 1974, a black one with a 440 six-pack that was wound tight in 3rd gear and flying too low at over 100mph, so In my case, a more fitting name for it, rather than Charger, would have been Reaper. These cars were fast as lightning and a little bit frightening, but I suppose that's what made them so cool! ☠
No modern hemi, LS, or coyote eillevrr sound this good. Their design, firing order , flat oplane crank just won’t allow it. No matter what exhaust muffler system you put on them.
im planing on buying a car like this and im debating between the 1969 dodge charger and 1970 dodge charger R/T, i don't know if there different or the same thing, and someone help me decide?
Well the '69 and the '70 look almost identical, with the most noticable difference being the design of the grille. I assume that there's a 440 Magnum in the '70 R/T just like the one in this video, which is the largest engine of these models if you're all about power, if you're concerned about feul economy, you should choose a smaller engine and definitly no R/T model.
It’s hungry. You should feed it a Prius.
LMFAO!!
Unshackle the beast.
Hahaha, yes sir!
It doesn't eat junk.
Nah, It needs a hellcat
I just love the sound of those pistons rattling. That is truly American fricking muscle.

Some people call that engine noise but in reality it's the Dodge telling all the other cars on the road who's the boss
I love that sound
Thats why we love american muscle cars! That sound is unreachable!
Nothing like a carburetor sound.
You need to give that car back to America right now! MERICA
super legendary car and put a like for my favorite Dodge charger oil car

You can keep all those exhaust sounds of the new cars. Nothing sounds like the old classic muscle car sound.
