Believe it or not they didn't make a lot of power from the factory. The CB 900f was faster. They didn't make a lot of performance part for the CBX. Most stuff was one off custom made and very expensive
@@1DS9 I am currently rebuilding my 79 CBX. 2.5mm overbore, Carrillo's, ported head, Megacycle cams, one off cam sprocket set up for easy cam timing etc. CBX's do suck when it comes to getting parts and some of the engine lay out (like the clutch driven alternator system). They sound nice and look interesting but stock RWHP was mediocre at best. My 75 CB750F now makes 107 RWHP now with a custom billet block that I designed.....no stroker or turbo.
6 cylinder 6 carbs 6 exhaust, Yup def the mark of the beast. I LOVE IT
Had one of these is '78, UK spec. Bought it for the noise and the looks.
When ever you feel unnecessary, think about the Guy who did Put the factory exhaust the cbx
Say what now???
Proper bike !!!!!!!😀👍👍👍👍👍👍
You must sounds like a beast my 1999 gsxr 750 no muffler being Dyno tested, it's really aggressive sounding.
The bikes of today sound nothing like the 70s and 80s street bikes.Gen X
Where is it running upto redline in each gear!? Great vid though thx uploader.
Un suono meraviglioso io ne posseggo una 1 serie
Mantap kak salam kenal kak

+Kenneth VanMeter Yes but its still the sexiest engine !!!
Jeez! you make it sound a disadvantage FFS!
CB900F ran about 12.0 in the 1/4 mile. CBX about 11.8. 900 was cool, CBX was beyond cool.
why did it take a fortnight to pick up?
Dan Dan I'll guess that it was a top gear pull
didnt sound that great with head phones on,,,old vid i recon
how many hp have this beast???
+xTheCoopGamersx Hi on the day was 110 hp
My SOHC 750/1000 made 98 HP all day long. CBX's suck BUT I do own a 79.
@@mikerieck306 lol no way. These bikes are awesome way cooler than your bike. These with a stroker or turbo make big power

+andycliff1965 110 Hp at 9,000 rpm Cheers.
Because this bike is from the late 70s/early 80s. Engine design has come a long way since then.
sound inside is very bad
