Thank you so much for this video! It finally sold me on the add-on after I was trying to convince myself I didn't need it before haha I don't like to rely too heavily on generated content for hero assets in my projects, mostly for dumb egotistical reasons probably, but the tools here look amazing for easily generating instances of anything I make with extremely fine control. And... the included content looks really darn neat and better than any greeble I've ever made lol, so I might cave on that too. Thank you again.

I do a lot of UE Space Content and really needed a quick way to output Space Ships/Stations and your tools might just do it for me.

Hi Marco. I'm pretty sure most of the DPACKS are fairly low poly. If you're getting a lot of slow down it might not be about the 3090, it might be because of your cpu? One technique we use a lot is we will propagate one set of faces and then hide them and then propagate another set of faces and then hide them. And we keep doing this until we have the whole scene populated and they we'll render.

I have a slight problem though, i purchase the pro version a little over a week ago and downloaded the new Flex add-on yesterday, I grabbed everything that's available on the download page but I'm missing all the Greezy Bear hero elements. Any ideas what went wrong? Thank you and you guys are freaking rock stars!
it just get crushed when i choose panel-y at scifi flex add on :( is there any way to fix this? +) and i also unzip the addon zip file, panel-y blend file doesn't work. when i open the blend file it just get crushed and not opened 😢😢
this is a kitops issue, you can disable kitops and it will bypass the problem. there will be a kitops update soon. if you reach out on discord I can give you a link early
Hello, I just purchased this tool and got familar with it. BUT I use to merge different stuff in keyshot 11. I got the blender to keyshot bridge. But when I transfere this to keyshot, the faces stay empts. I got 5 entries for "plane", but all are empty. I need to get this into keyshot! Any idea what I missed? Maybe i need to "apply" somethin before this mesh is "realy created"? I am despred and need your help. This tool would bring my work to some new levels and I already payed for it. So what can I do to export this to use it in a different render tool? If it is "bender bonded" only, I cannot use it!
@@ChippWalters Thanks Chipp i was reffering to how even the thick Top panels meshes would just be flat turns out i did not know that these only work with planes , i was trying it out with a cubes face, but on planes they work fine.

hey Chipp, sorry to bother you with this. But I just started working with Blender almost 2 weeks ago, and so I have both Sci Fi Flex and Kit Ops 2 installed. In a video I saw that Sci Fi Flex's materials could be cycled through via Kit Ops. But I don't understand how this is done. Also in Rendered mode for some reason things are overly green, and I'm at a loss on how to fix this. Do you know any possible way to help me with these 2 things?

definitely not, it's a distinct product and has new thingsin the works I get to see. I'll leave official announcements to Chipp. The synth stuff gets more complex and algorithmic with intentional placement (Recipes) it's a different way of doing things. There will be SOME overlap in how people want to apply it. The synth addon code is pretty impressive TBH. Be assured tho it has features coming that are not achievable with a geometry nodes workflow yet
No! Absolutely not! We're in the middle of a large overhaul. SYNTH will generate a lot more controlled and more exact types of designs. We have a new feature called hardpoints where we can automatically create objects that snap together like Legos in KIT OPS and we can use SYNTH to propagate those hard point INSERTS easily. Think of creating Mechs and vehicles and robots and workstations and all sorts of neat products that have organization to them. We're also developing a free version of SYNTH that can execute recipes so you can just purchase a recipe and run it however you like without ever having to buy SYNTH.

I mean, from Street level with huge buildings in the background to small circuitry or city skylines seen from orbit *cough*Arcorp*cough*Lorville*cough Speaking of Lorville and its revamp coming this Spring (or whenever the 3.19 is released), would it be possible to create something like that with Flex? No, there's not an absolute scale feature, but you can place existing objects that you know the scale of two in your scene and then use those to help eyeball your scale.

Hi Chipp, those Kpaks in kitops except for the characters is it with the scifi flex or its different kpaks
everything in the video is included with scifi pro/flex, you need kitops to use kpacks of course
Most of it comes with SCIFI FLEX, some is from other KPACKS.
Why the number of faces won't change? I noticed that in various part of the video.

my Y- panel do not extrude or change size like in your video, when i increase size they get bigger but are flat. what could be causing this?
Y panels are flat by design. There are two different the top and the bottom so you might want to try using the top as that one's not as flat.

Fyi - Blender closes (crashes) immediately when ypanel with panel gen is applied using flex. Works fine with xpanel.

FLEX is a free update for Pro users.
