My partners dearest and oldest friend was June Brown, she played Mrs.Parsons (mother to the young boy playing for Ena). June said Violet Carson was one of the loviest, kindest people you could work with.
Marvellous, Violet Carson's face after Albert Tatlock's Vanity quote. She looked like a stewed prune, but oh what a wonderful smile she had when the child played Glory Glory Hallelujah. What a stupendous actress she was.
I was six & 1/2 years old when this episode first aired, but we would have seen it in black & white. We didn't get a colour TV until 1973. Corrie was a big favourite in our house until the early 80s. 💞
One thing my Manchester born and raised mum never allowed us to watch. I asked her one day why as it was her roots (we live in Canada) and she laughingly said she didn't want to hear those accents, lol.
@@stephenroney2366 bless you! So you were born in December 1967? You will remember from being around 4 or 5 probably? That's the same for me, so 1968-69. 😉
