In Bihar, mangalsutra during wedding isn’t a custom .
Groom’s brother put’s a Dholna on the bride and that’s it Sindoordan happens .
Mangalsutra is given by groom’s side to the bride which she will wear afterwards.

Being a Bengali I don't think we have 16 shringer concept. But happy to know about other's culture. And yes Satyam is ideal husband material, but Rohit is also a fun loving understanding thoughtful partner or husband type. 🥰

In an Assamese weddings, traditionally the groom doesn’t put sindoor on the bride. There is a specific day prior or the same day of the main event which is known as “Juroon”. On Juroon the bride is gifted with traditional Assamese attire(Mekhela Chardar), jewelry etc, basically the 16 sringaars. On that very day, the head of the groom’s family, can be his mother or his father puts the Sindoor on the bride.
Nowadays we can see a blend of traditions and more are leaning towards the North Indian traditions of groom taking over the sindoor part.
Similar to Bengali wedding, there is no mangal sutra involved. The bride is given all the jewelry on “Juroon”.
So happy to see that the Assamese Wedding ritual 'Juroon' has been explained here..Especially in a Ok Tested video's comment section ....Joi Aai Axom !!😍

Actually, the kamarband is made of silver, which gives heat and kills fat from the waist area, and doesn't accumulate fat in that area. Therefore pregnant women are not allowed to wear it, (Not sure about the pregnant woman wala). Great video, love you Satyam and Rohit. ❤️❤️
Mahawar/aalta and nailpaint also comes under solah shringar traditionally. u guys were more focused on jewellery and accessories.

Nath has special relevance in our pahadi culture and Rajput culture.
Being a Rajput pahadi, it holds the same relevance like mangalsutra for us. Its "suhaag" for pahadi women.
Although, we wear big naths in special occasions and ceremonies. But if we are not wearing it, we have to wear nosepin instead of that. For us, we cnt leave the nose empty!!
I'm not a rajput but from Rajasthan and our caste has same culture

2:05, one of the reason is that, gajra is not exactly a part of solah sringar. Instead head ornaments, especially flower, decorated in head comes under solah sringar.

Just to clarify kunku and sindoor are to different things kumkum/ kunku is made by adding an alkaline substance to turmeric ,appears red whereas sindoor is on slight orangish side with powder of dried sindoor tree pods these days people just sell cheap artificial colourant in starch which gets bad rep for allergies,etc I hope people who buy this become aware and buy this stuff carefully

Gajra is very common in South Indian wedding. We use turmeric (groom applies on bride’s sideburns) along with kumkum.

Only a few minutes in to this video and so many relations like the bindi on the mirror, my mum still does that😁 I don't know who idea was to put sinduor in ganesh murti. Love how ok tested always test out the item on each other and alway have there facts ready. There are so many point on how Females have so many symbols of marriage and guys only have 1 ring even which they remove. It so true how for one day we pull of so much heavy waited outfits and literally head to two jewellery it just crazy, though hey some of it we love. Some interesting pointer even I didn't know👍😃
