Honeywell purchased the turbine division of Lycoming. The engine is a Lycoming design and has remained unchanged. It is still in production, but there are about 50 times more Lycomings still in service than there are Honeywell variants of the same motor. Turboshaft engines are actually quite low maintenance as they are torque producing machines. This particular turboshaft actually costs less and is much easier to maintain than an automobile engine for the same workload. Many people have been looking up this engine/powerplant after seeing/reading about Jay Leno's EcoJet car, powered by a modern and new Honeywell system.
Honeywell still makes this engine. It is one of the most popular light helicopter engines in production, and the latest version will make 850hp on JP-8.
let me tell you that in bk and dauphine either are not powered with lycoming, both use arriel in two differents model, but to this engine wich helo is powered?

Turbine is the only way to go. Huge power in a small package. Love 'em
No earplugs on the camera either. The mic is probably shot. Haha
I feel bad for whoever was running the lawn mower. They're going to get blamed for the noise somebody heard two counties over.

It will, with the proper injection system and compressor. If you can get it to burn well in the combustor, it will run.

I'm actually clueless as to what helicopter this would go in...? Doesn't sound familiar at least on start up...

at least hh65 dolphins. i know they are in AS350D's
Ltp 101 is for fixed wing the Lts is for helicopter good engines if you know how to keep them running.
