I'm disgusted from the comments saying what she did was a "stupid act". What if your child had to have Kemotherapy and lost all of their hair or had a hair condition and are unable to grow their own hair? Thanks to the more than generous donations from people like this girl, children and grown ups without their own hair can go out in pubic and not be looked upon as "weird". Yeah, She could have kept the "bob" but she made an unselfish statement. Learn from it. Her hair will grow back!

all the beautiful gold strings comes off from the beauty. she looks great hanging left overs on her face chopping scissor is very small. she did not express any experession of losing hair when clipper is run on more of gold is falling looks great and thrilling and she has such a beautiful face any hair style suits her.

People with long hair are made to feel selfish and guilty that they're not cutting off the locks that they've worked so hard to upkeep. No, there's nothing selfish about valuing your body. It's not just hair. Ironically, those who badger longhairs have never considered and will never grow their hair for LOL. Many enjoy seeing others lose something special to them.
Now what was the point in shaving their heads? The hair, long, short, different colors/textures and also dyed was all placed in large boxes together. Nobody or no machine is going to sort through all of that and make wigs with it, if that's the idea.

Also a fact, many of LOL's wigs go to children with alopecia and not cancer. 'Bet a month's salary that most of the public is unaware of this. Cancer is a much more Hallmark cause, isn't it?
Wigs from human hair are much more expensive to make than synthetic wigs. Wigs themselves are itchy and hot and cannot grow with a growing child. Many children end up not wearing them after a while. Sure, they may stop classmates from teasing them, but it's only a poorly-applied bandaid onto a much bigger issue. Children need to learn sympathy and understanding, not conformity and quick-fixes.
