The shelf idea would be a huge upgrade! Who doesn’t need an extra ledge in the bathroom
When doing the shelf make sure it has a slight slope, so that water can escape. 😁
Really loving the white paint, makes a huge difference. Looks so elegant! The tub part, my god! You got this, Lexi!
Thanks so much! 😊
The ledge mistake that happens a lot is it is placed were your elbow hits it when shampooing knocking things off. Just a note.
First I don't know how to read then I crack the tub 😵 Making it work one way or another; I'm so proud of you, gorgeous
All crisp white walls and ceiling then a dark a moody wall and floor tile would look bomb ❤
I love how hubby hung out with you while you were painting. It's nice to see young couples being friends too. Couple goals🙏💙
I almost wonder if you can fill the one that cracked downwards with CA glue, it's basically a super glue but has a spray that sets it immediately. Then some sort of sealant.
I love your shelf idea!!! It'll be absolutely functional and beautiful! If you're feeling froggy and love extra work, you could even frame out recessed shelving and extend the wall all the way up in front. Either way, it's gonna be fabulous! ❤
thank you!!!
Only suggestion I could make with border/wallpaper removal. most times, folks want to get it wet & start scraping immediately. Wrong. You must give it time for the moisture to soak in. So, after saturation, cover it with Saran Wrap, go have a cup of coffee, then wet it again. Now, start scraping.
I don't subscribe often but....I like your work.
When replacing a fiberglass shower with a tub, the drain and supply locations are 2" different. Watco makes a drain kit that solves the drain problem (Watco Flex 924) Moving the water supplies isn't hard. You are going to want to replace the valve rough in anyway. You two are more than capable of doing basic plumbing.
When painting bathrooms, use a antimicrobial paint that is designed for humid locations. Helps with the mold and mildew. (I personally like SW Duration)
I would recommend replacing that exhaust fan especially since that bath doesn't have natural ventilation.
Shelf idea is a great idea.
Darker painted bathrooms looks great in taller height/taller ceiling. Especially with a great ceiling light, which doesn't look like you have a ceiling light. So it may feel cave like or claustrophobic. Just my opinion.
The pain of breaking or scratching something new is real 💔 I love the shelf idea tho!
Great problem solving. Thanks for sharing.
Dark and moody doesnt always shrink a room. Your 3D rendering with the green accent wall looked amazing.
Love the shelf idea!!! Had no idea how hard installing a tub could be! Glad you got it to work and that the important part didn’t crack!
Love your ledge idea! Plenty of room for everything.
The shelf for sure
that really worked great!!!
Can’t wait to see the end result ❤
I don't know if you have any more wallpaper, but there's a tool called a Wallpaper Scoring Tool - it has little teeth and you swirl in a circle and it perforates the wallpaper and then you can steam it or wet it and it peels right off! Win!
You got this , girl. You seem to accomplish anything that you put your mind to. I love the new look. Keep it light and bright snice it's a small space. Then again do what feels right to your guys liking. I love what you guys always do.
Great idea Lexi. A shelf is great for your hair products. I like the uniqueness ❤🇨🇦
That room is waaay too small to go with a dark paint! I'd leave it bright white and go dark on the vanity. Doing a strip of dark tile (like right above the ledge) would add some character too😁
SHELF IS GENIUS!!! It’s going to look SO good ❤
THANK YOU MY FRIEND!
Maybe 7 or 8 years ago, I saw a picture (most likely on Pinterest) of a beautiful bathroom that had a single row of short height mirrors that ran the length of each wall, at the very top of each wall, connecting with each other (I will look at my Pinterest boards; if I find the picture, I will provide an iCloud link for it.) This, of course, helped what I think, if my memory serves me correctly, was a windowless bathroom, to have light bounce around in it. You have a windowless bathroom situation, maybe this design idea might work for you, too?
Breathe in, breathe out lexi.
Homedepot has those niches to install. I’m having the contractor put a larger one in because our current one is small where it holds three bottles.
If you have to get a new tub maybe leave it up to the professionals as they have a lot more experience. Then it will be less stress and tears. That shelf idea looks awesome! Can't wait to see what color paint you decide on and which vanity you go with!
Yay!!! 🎉
(:
the shelf idea is great, it'll be super handy too! I personally really like the white, but if you aren't sure you could try a single accent colored wall? the render looked great btw!
Omgosh I used to have this same boarder
It sucks you cracked the tub. Your solution to make it fit is a good idea, product/display shelf.
What a great idea to add a a shelf. I was wondering do you have to do a little bit of a decline to make sure the water drains off the shelf?
I love white bathrooms, white and wood, Scandi Spa Vibes ❤
I always pick the color for my room no matter what the lighting situation is. Became with so my ways & options their are with lighting now, you can make it as bright or dim as you want. I have rooms that are Hunter green & with the right lighting they are awy
***Awesome. Sorry
Im sorry to hear about the tub. Thats to bad. You work so hard! I hope it works out for yeah darlin. ❤
thank you!
❤❤❤
❤❤
I like the white walls.
I think it's a great idea and maybe used by any of your subscribers. I would do it.
Lean into the moody. Its one room and if you end up hating it then it's an easy fix
😃😃😃
White is right. Maybe accent color?
You need to post the full video first before the short,
A fiberglass repair kit for boats will fix the cracks in your tub.
