  • This was the second fly over of the jet that amazed spectators before the rugby match between the Springboks and the All Blacks on Saturday, 5 October 2013, at the Ellis Park stadium in Johannesburg, South Africa. This fly over was reminiscent of the fly over of a 747 jet at the final of the 1995 Rugby World Cup between the Springboks and the All Blacks at the same stadium. This clip was made with a Samsung Galaxy S4.

I was lucky to see it from my flat in Johannesburg. Saw it come over Ellis Park and went overmy flat. Awesome. Lucky me. Good memory will be etched in my mind for ever. Fly SAA.

Has this become a tradition now in South Africa?

Ever since the Good Luck Bokke flypast in 1995? I think so!

      Think so yeah
Never experienced it myself because I don’t ever go to rugby matches but I’ve seen a flysafair flyover at a waterkloof air show
B737 in formation with 4 Gripens was absolutely sick 🔥

Hi. Have a look at the double flyover done at the rugby match between South Africa and Austrailia from the past weekend (8 July 2023). Impressive.
