If you jam a bottle of water into the steering wheel it will continue indefinitely: A few observations It’s jerky just before it comes to halt , it moves around within its lane not good for motorcycles who tend to filter. At higher speeds it will brake unnecessarily when it detects a car turning left off the carriageway (UK roads) in front of you. Any vehicles following you will have to brake sharply. It fails to see vehicles ahead on bends and will continue to move. Heavy rain can disrupt the sensors and a warning flashes up, snow will cover them completely and render them inoperable.
How can we tell if a Skoda car has it? Under the assists page would "Traffic Assist" have to be shown or is it enough if a Skoda has ACC and Lane Assist separately? Thanks.
Unfortunately there is not easy to check it. It is necessary to check if ACC can stop the car and keep it stationary for more than 3-4 seconds. Also: lane keeping assist should keep the car in its lane even at low speed (like 30 km/h). There is no option like "traffic jam assist".
sometimes it looks like the car is getting nervous and steering left and right to keep in the middle of the lane. I drove an Arteon this year with lane Assist and Acc on and I didnt observe that. Is the Software a little older on the Superb?
Jednak wystąpiło to przed Emergency Assist!
If I'm correct that you ask about situation from 4:15: 1. You only have one yellow line and this line is not well visible (dirty road and old livery) 2. Previous car turned right a little bit and Superb wanted to make the same thing (typical behaviour in such situations - when camera doesn't recognise lines) and it was too risky in my opinion. Probably Superb could handle it but I didn't want to check it.
Useful video! I'd like to ask a question. if i leave my lane assist system on all the time even there is no distinct lines on the road and the system searchs for lines, does it lower the system's life span? any bad impact on the life span of the system? thanks in advance :)
Absolutely, the line searcher assembly will wear out pretty fast when rubbing on asphalt without any road lines present. You should deactivate the system whenever it's possible to maximize the life of the components.
Do i see right? Every time the car in front of you stopped and your engine goes off because start stop is activated, you have to push a button to start the engine again? Or do you push the button for accelerate, the engine starts automatically when the front car is accelerates too?
1001cars i thought in a scoda maybe its different, without pushing any button. few days ago i had possibility to drive a vw 7 for a few minutes. I tried the acc. The front car had accelerated when it was green, my car started automatically. Like you wrote before i had to push a button to drive again. And the acceleration was so terrible, not smooth. It seems like a beginner driver acceleration with a manual shift car. How is it in your skoda. It is possible to drive on softly? Or is this a dsg "problem". Sorry for my bad English
I own a Golf 7.5 (facelift) with DSG and ACC and can confirm the 'beginner' acceleration. 90% of the time it accelerates fine but in some cases (usually in a traffic jam) its not so smooth.
@@jackzux9362 powaznie?? A mi sie strasznie ta opcja podobala.
thank you for such a long trip. many others try only couple of seconds.

Torn between this Skoda Kodiaq and Subaru Forester which has the EyeSight technology ...

If the cruise is set to 60 it doesn't remind for longer
In really slow traffic jams which move meter by meter, does the car do the accelerating and braking by itself or you have to use the pedals?
As you could see on the movie, after few seconds stop you have to use resume button :)

Propably because of the rain.

Does Skoda have a similar system when you are driving in higher speeds in High Way, like driving over 100KM/H?
Sure ! Its called adaptive criuse control. Two options - works with max speed 160 and +200 depending on version ordered.
@@domzdy7091 Thanks but does this autosteers too? Or only autobrakes?
What are the unique traffic situations you came across where this feature failed

When a car stop, do you need to press throttle pedal to start ahead?
After few seconds stop, yes

No leave it on don't worry
do you need automatic transmission for this?
Yes, you need automatic to get autonomous driving on such level.

Engine starts automatically, but you have to use "resume" button to drive again.

Maybe the car which you drove had some problems. I didn't observe anything like that in every VW Group car.
I own a Golf 7.5 (facelift) with DSG and ACC and can confirm the 'beginner' acceleration. 90% of the time it accelerates fine but in some cases (usually in a traffic jam) its not so smooth.
Did you find the system fluid, without sudden braking and acceleration?
I think than you can easily see that this system was working smoothly
. Look on my body from the right view :)
You're right, thank you!
And the same system that has the Kodiaq?
That's right! Kodiaq has the same system :)
