He was born on Elcho Island, Northern Territory Australia and is of the Yolngu people. He taught himself to play multiple instruments and plays a right hand strung guitar left handed. He sings in Yolngu of country and of his life, songs that he wrote. His music touches the soul of all Aussies. He was greatly loved but sadly passed four years ago. Indigenous Australians have a uniqueness in their voices that's very special. A guide to pronunciation, if there are double letters such as Gurr, the emphasis is on that. The rest just flows.

I grew up in the bronx and have met many great people who I still call mates including many indigenous people. And I can tell you that they dont like your virtue signaling either, they want their brothers and sisters to get off their butts and create a better life for each other and not continue to take the handouts, the handouts I might add from a guilty government that only do this in order to keep them quiet.
