Thank you too for the visit and the comment. I've been in Costa del sol for the New Year last year. Not in Cala de Mijas, in Torremolinos. Nothing spectacular, usual stuff you see everywhere

I am wondering exactly where this is, as I lived on the Costa Del Sol for nine years first at Marbella and later between Fuengirola and Mijas Pueblo yet I have not heard of the place mentioned as being rich in History?... Where exactly is this place?... Okay I looked it up on the map and see it is near Fuengirola but probably was not even a town when I left in 1977... Probably it was barely a tiny fishing village. Yes, it is unbelievable what has happened to Southern Spain in the past 45 years... I was so very fortunate to have seen it in 1968 before so much development happened. I do miss living in Spain... those were wonderful years having my little Boutique in Mijas Pueblo in a Heritage Building opposite a little Church.

These little towns can't be very "rich in history" as they are pretty much new. There are A LOT of small plaes like these. So many urbanizaciónes now. If you drive from Fuengirola to Marbella.... it's one after another. And there are new places under construction all the time. People love Costa del sol, so there is demand for housing. Soon there will be one big city, from Malaga all the way to Cadiz :)

@@4kcitytours Yes, it seems that way... I thank my lucky stars that I lived there when it was so different... Under Franco there was no crime as there is now, and it was very inexpensive to live there.

How do you afford travelling so much? =)

It's easier if you live there, and then just get the car and travel along the coast. The little towns are pretty close one to another. You can go to one town each day, if you wanted to.
