I was in high school when I first watched k-on ! Bought my own guitar and tried to learn these songs ! Now I’m already done with college ! Still can’t play that well! Hahah but this was a great help ! Thank you 🙏🏻
Tabs are easy to read. you read them from left to right. each line represents one string, the bottom line is the low E and the top line is the high E string. The numbers represent the the fret where you hold it, 0 means an open string. The numbers in a vertical row are played together, if there is no number that means that you don't hit the string. And you should know the note-lengh-symbols in the classic notation. anyway, nice tutorial anaraquelk. I play it slightly different, thought. :D
Love this little tutorial, thank you! Just started learning guitar, and being the crazy K-On fanboy that I am, I had to take a swing at this one :) Just wondering, My guitar also looks like that but I can't tell, is yours a different model, like mine, or is that a mustang? (Mine's a really cheap Dean I got to learn on, but it still looks pretty like yours ^.^)
@5300xm Yes. He has it plugged into an Amplifier. Amplifiers help produce clearer sounds, they can also be adjusted to whichever tune you prefer best. Hope that somewhat helped.
the six lines are the strings, highest to lowest, the numbers are the frets you need to play, multiple numbers on top of each other are an accord, that pretty much it
Even if I don't understand what you explain on the video,I really like them because I don't see much videos of guitar covers where the original music doesn't cover it,and I get to listen to it bits by bits,I love it :3
Thank you so much for uploading this video. The inclusion of music staff notation in addition to the tab really helps me understand the part a lot better.
The Xs mean to palm mute (put your fingers on the strings without pressing down a fret) the brackets are optional notes that aren't really essential to the song, and the chords are all power chords, except for one sus4 and one augmented thing, but it's all pretty easy
That's awesome! Too bad I don't know Japaneese so I can't read your comments. Of course tabs are clear enough to know what goin' on at the moment. Thanks for your good job.
if anyone wonders how to play dead notes, put your fingers lightly on any string or chord and strum. make sure you press the strings lightly and not all the way. hope this helps.
you dont have to know japanese, you will figure out which part goes where in the song by learning it, you just keep on practicing and you will master this song very song. Good luck !
What’s with the x parts lol, I know it’s just where you put your finger on the strings with no pressure applied but whenever I do it it still sounds wrong.. can anyone tell me in detail what the guy is doing differently
@naruto70naruto Yes if you turn your volume on your amp to max and keep your master on your amp at somewhat low depending on how loud you want to play :)
@96music4eva theres different techniques. its basically whatever youre comfortable with. You need to practice both down strumming and up strumming so that you can get the rhythm down. there are alot of helpful videos on youtube, rockongoodpeople is a good page. Good luck!
This sounds almost the same (i think, i dont have a good ear): Gain:6, Bass:5, Middle:9, Treble: 11... If it sounds bad, maybe you will need to adjust it... My amp is the Marshall MG15R.
I'm 6 years late and still I'm learning this song but can't understand. and for the users who wants to know the amp setting , there isn't really any setting because that guitar is a distortion guitar and it really does that kind of sound..
+Nicole Kate Delumbar woah, stop there. Theres no such thing as a "distortion guitar", but rather, a distortion effect. Theres an electric guitar or an acoustic guitar. That guitar he is using is an electric guitar. The amp settings would be Enable Gain, and up the Gain's Volume to about 20%. Turn up the Gain's Treble, down the Gain's Bass and a middle ground on the Gain's Contour (if your amp has this dial!). Too much gain will cause too much "grit" in the sound. too much bass will cause a more muffled sound. play with the dials until it sounds right. Don't forget to adjust the dials on the guitar as well! make sure your switch is in lead guitar (usually the down position - away from you, not towards) and not rhythm and to adjust the dials on the guitar until the sound is clean. good luck. one other thing... this song is a low-medium difficulty. harder if you dont know chords. practice, practice, practice. and if you think you've had enough of practicing, practice again!
+cradledani im going on this blind, i have no information on guitar whatsoever in my head except for the fact there is a guitar left by my brother here.. so do u think i can do this? can i learn how to play this song?
Of course. But you need to learn how to actually play first. Look up some beginner tutorials and follow them. Do it a few times. Once you have the hang of actually playing notes, have some fun. Make up some patterns and repeat them until you can do it without too much effort. Then maybe start looking at playing real songs. One other thing, read up on how to read guitar tabs. It'll help with learning too
@highwizdaisuke uuuhhhh.... I'll try to explain: "X" represents the moment you play the note while muffling her, got it? To do this, just support your finger on the note without pressing it.
I got the hang of it, just a little sloppy at the timing and my hand always hurt. I been doing it on a acoustic though, I'm going to get a electric guitar at least like yours. It would be amazing if I managed to get a Gibson Les Paul Standard Cherry Sunburst like Yui. I heard it cost about $2000 dollars. Damn.
I have trouble with the "x" stuff. cant seem to get the tempo right in those areas :(. Why doesn't have rocksmith have custom tracks :(. Id buy the game again for PC if it did.
Yui's a legend for learning this in just a few episodes
It’s been a month and I can only play power chords. She’s truly a genius
and doing world tour in less than 3 years without getting viral or endorsed by megacoporate
That's barely an hour aswell
hehehehe well she's a musical prodigy even if she doesn't understand sheet music... like John Lennon! 💗💗
Not that hard tbh. Considering that was about one school year
Man was ready for Covid, a decade ahead of his time
instead of dropping back to the second fret in the opening rift, just move that chord shape up to the e string on the 5th and 7th fret, sounds the same and it's less movement...
yeah it's an A chord so it doesn't matter
Not the same feel tho
Dude, thanks a lot. After about 2 weeks I can finally play this whole song. Not very well yet but I can ahah!
its legit just power chords hows it take two whole weeks it should only take 5 minutes 😑
