because the radio is lame and always will be for discovering new music. they found out a long time ago that to keep peoples interest you have to play something they are familiar with ,hence the same 10 songs on repeat all day. so as to keep you listening every time you tune to that station. its also why its fading away as we speak. probably be gone in 10 years
