I just got one with the extension panels to make it 10 ft. x 10 ft. It took roughly an hour to set it up working at a moderate pace. Tomorrow it gets put to the test when we take in our daughter's 90 German Shepherd that we're upheriting. Hope it works out! It looks to be of good quality. It's set up in our courtyard entrance that has a concrete pavers floor with a big tree in the middle. The courtyard has a gate so in theory we have two-level security if the dog gets out of the kennel. I'll also be setting up a web cam to keep an eye on him. Fingers crossed - but to get back to the topic, the kennel looks to be of good quality. The dog will show us soon. 😄😄👍👍
@benfrank2575 Thanks for asking - it has gone very, very well. It's quite sturdy. The size lets the dog walk around inside. I built a 2x4 foot little pallet for him to lie down on off the ground. An igloo dog house is in the corner opposite the gate. I rigged up a vinyl tarp over one corner to have a dry spot in the rain. It's also large enough that if he has an accident and poops in it he has room enough to not have to walk through it. I'm extremely pleased with how it is working out. The courtyard is well shaded so that excessive heat from the sun is not an issue.
Nice dogs and setup. Do you think the wire is thick enough for heavy chewer dogs? I may try it out if it's definitely thicker than the standard chain link
Do you have an idea about what gauge size of the welded wire it has? I want to get the same kennel but it does not have any info on what gauge size they used. My dog likes to escape by bitting off the kennel.
I got 3 of these kennels from tractor supply over a year ago for my Labrador retrievers got a big guy 80+ pounds they have roof cover also from tractor supply they have not tipped over
This is the run I want to get, but for some reason Tractor Supply is charging shipping as if they're sending it from out of state even though there are stores in my state; just not in my area. The cheaper quality ones they sell have free shipping but not this model. I will have to rely on a friend to do local pick-up for me and she's not too keen on it. Did they charge you for shipping where you live or did you pick it up at a local location?
I'm in VA, the 5x6x10 that I got is $399 in store ($427 with tax). I originally bought it under the guise that they would deliver, but they don't deliver in store. Tried to get it online and local shipping was an addt $79, not to mention I live 10 minutes from TS. It would been $57-something altogether had I got it online
Well tbh I love the look it gives them ik a lot of people are against it and it may seem like torture but I take my puppies to a professional vet here in my city I pay a good bill to have them properly cropped and they use all kinds of procedures for the puppy to have a very safe surgery done I don’t have my dogs cropped in someone’s backyard our vets specializes in it but short sender I just love the look it gives my dogs it’s not for fighting or bad intentions trust me we love our dogs
Gonna get this for my rescue 50 lb rott/mix to be in when we’re at work. He would just be in it during the day and inside at night. He’s more of an inside dog. You can lock it also right with a lock.
@@DMND90s I have a mutt about 70 pounds I’m not sure what he is to be honest he’s friendly my neighbors love him they always bring him back but I just don’t want him to get hit by a car when I’m at work
Tbh unless he can climb up to the top and jump because I’m terms of strength these kennels are very strong and durable the wire is a thicker gauge and won’t bend in comparison to the standard 10x10 chain link kennels
@@TPD_Dogos It's a never ending process. I mean why should I have to re-paint a brand new kennel ? Just wasn't a good purchase, I went back to Tractor Supply & even the ones sitting out waiting to be sold were rusting.

@@TPD_Dogos Why couldn't TS do so though ?! I sanded & sprayed mine w/ Rustoleum green paint. I've had it 5 mo.s now & it's rusting @ every weld spot.
