I am in absolute awe of not only your creativity but your courage. I cried trying to assemble a Christmas tree! and here you are...putting together complicated machinery and learning to use it! For that powder room window, how about a Tiffany style window? It's a little exposed.
Everything is coming together beautifully. You're very creative and making it unique which is something that will help other people who want to do renovations but don't know where to start. The tiling and countertops are amazing. I love the way you refinished the old doors and the cutouts. You've left no stone unturned. Once those walls are primed and painted, and cabinet doors are finished, your home will be worthy of a special showing on spectacular home renovations or TLC. 😊☘️
Hi, I’m a 15 year old boy with ADHD and on the spectrum, and I’m a huge fan of your channel. Your children are the sweetest helpers ever! I’m so happy for you guys, and hope everything keeps going steady for y’all and you can take your time on the videos if you want to lol no need to rush! I love how you come up with these ideas to reuse some of whatever was in the school house or other historical places and honor the history of the school you are renovating and the children and people who went there. My grandma, who lives in a old late 1800-early 1900s house in the country in Nebraska about 10 miles northwest of the town, Elgin, NE, which I live in with my dad nearby, used to refinish a lot of old wood furniture for customers, and for family too! Doesn’t do it anymore though. Also loved the deadbolt cover ideas and the green shower, and EVERYTHING ELSE! 😄 I’m liking and enjoying the process! Thank you for your dedication of showing us and renovating this historical masterpiece! Watching out for new videos whenever! 😊 ❤
Love seeing what you are doing. Those little discs are perfect! When our previous owners renovated our house, they put small things in an outside wall. There are two small doll faces (not scary at all, I promise). It’s super fun, after a few glasses of local wine, to tell guests there are two faces in the wall. Some find them very quickly and most don’t.
The hole covers, tiling, cabinets, flooring, fans, countertops all look amazing!! Whew! What a big challenge in that entry area! I can't wait to see the creative results soon!
Doing an incredible job! How you do all this work, planning, executing and parenting is beyond miraculous! Grateful for all the helpers coming together to make it possible! What a beautiful journey! You’re doing a great job filming too. I know how challenging it is. You are rocking it!!!🙏🏻💕✨
Your countertops and tiles are all BEAUTIFUL!!!! I love the original doors too. Your laser work is amazing. You, your husband, and all of your craftsmen are so talented.
Of all the reno channels I follow, this one has me the most excited. I have always wanted to reno a church or school so this soothes my need to create. Looking good.
The fact these vids come out at all is beyond amazing!! Because, you know, being a mom, spouse, house renovator, video editor and whatever other jobs you hold can't possibly take up that much time in your day. 🙄 So, whenever you get them out, they'll deeply appreciated. On top of that, they're so incredibly well done!! Thank you for continuing to share your story and your future home. It's been fascinating to watch and follow along with your incredible project.
I watch this one channel where the guy uses nature to cover the holes in furniture. He finds sticks and branches to place them in the holes. He breaks both sides of the wood. Sand it down and used filler to work in the remaining cracks. After he's done you'll never know that a hole was there! It's genus that he came up with this idea.
Oh wow!! I love the updates! Green is my favorite color. What a great idea to cover the holes in the doors. I am so impressed with your accomplishments! Great job and so well done …..love how you are thinking things through. The dinosaur is a great piece for your little one! ❤❤❤
Absolutely love this project and the channel 💯 In looking at all the stairs and some them very close to door openings, etc, not to mention babies in the house I'd definitely consider lighting on each step 💯 I think it will definitely save a life, especially at night time 💯❤️
So impressive! I love watching all your videos! Thanks for thinking of sharing all your visions, planning, process, thoughts, labor, and the final completed historical wonder to come!
You all are doing great work! I do hope you will have an open house before you move in. I would make the trip to see it. I love historic buildings, so enjoy you preserving the history while making it livable.
So exciting!! Missing the season when we were able to do remodel projects. Still doing small projects, slowly. Impressed with how much you get done!! Good for you.
I think that was a great idea placing those wooden pieces over holes on the doors. It’s gonna look so cool. Also that is awesome machine. Didn’t realize it’ll cut steel n a few other items. I also can’t wait till see them kitchen finished. I just know I ts gonna look fantastic. It’s a lot of school/house it’s gonna take some time to get it to where you want it. ♥️♥️😊👍👍👍🌟
Be very careful if you stain the wood before engraving/cutting. The stain must not be oil or solvent based. Using this before engraving/cutting increases the possibility of it catching on fire. Also, it's not a bad idea to get some fire blankets to have near the machine (they're on Amazon and under $20). It's always been a secret dream of mine to live in an old school. I love this channel!
LOVE the progress . . . and the creativity. That kitchen is massive. Gr8 for a large family that likes to cook big meals together. I can just imagine what holidays will be like. Thanks so much for sharing it all with us.
Oh how beautiful are those wooden doors. You did a fantastic job. You know you’re moving along when the dumpster is gone! You really can do so much with the laser engraver! Well done mom! Your videos are so informative. Love every one. Happy Restoration!❤ a lot of blood sweat and tears!
I get so excited every time you post a new video. Those tiles!! I also love green and I LOVE your shower!! And the multi-colored kids bathroom tiles. Gorgeous!! And the DOORS!! I’m in LOVE! Sorry for the crazy caps but trying to convey just how BEAUTIFUL everything is!! So impressed with all the work you guys are doing yourselves too. Big shoutout to Arlo for making sure Abby stays safe!! He seems VERY concerned for her safety I think. Soooo sweet. And his adorable little voice. Glad he got his puzzle-he’s such an honest Abe. Beyond cute!! 😍🥰 The house is really coming together. Very excited for you! It must feel amazing every time you walk through the door to see all the changes. It’s looking more & more like a real home these days! ❤❤
I’ve been watching you from the beginning and I’m really excited to see the improvements you are making and can’t wait to see the finished result. Good job! So proud of you and what you have accomplished ❤
love, love, love it! At first i thought you were going to have a white kitchen and i thought "oh NO" that house/school doesn't want a white kitchen. Then you started showing the sage color and talking about walnut doors and i thought "YES" that will look good. I really like the green tile in the kids shower.
thank you!! yeah definitely having a LOT of color throughout the house, I've been trying to show some restraint and then add in more once we get the feel for what it's like living in the school!
The Kitchen! the rosettes! the Indiana Flag! the Doors! THE CUTE CHILD! Your ingenuity and problem solving, your esthetic...wonderful. thanks for the video. I look forward to every one. --fellow Hoosier
I always look forward to your next video. The project is just amazing. The time and effort you and your husband are putting into it takes a lot of dedication.
Don't worry about getting any videos out. You need to take care of yourself and your family!!! I know that it's difficult. Do the best that you can! Your kids are so beautiful😍😍😍😍😍😍!! You're doing an amazing job!!! Remember to have some fun!!!! Love you and your videos!!!
The school is coming along beautifully ❣️ love the tiles and floor and countertops, it’s all an amazing transformation ❤️ thank you for taking us along on this journey 🥰🙏❤️👍
Love seeing the progress you've made along with all the great team of people you have helping along the way. Love how you are trying to keep as much original as you can. I also love love the exposed brick you were able to keep! ❤
Thanks for the tour, it's all looking great! However, you showed us a spot in the kitchen for the fridge, but you have upper cabinets installed there? Also, did you happen to remember to run water to the fridge location? Only mentioning this because years ago after I remodeled our kitchen I had a "DOH" moment when we went to connect the ice maker. Best wishes, Moody.
ty!! And yup we do have water to the fridge, and the kitchen is so tall that we put two layers of cabinets above- the fridge will have a cabinet above it!
“ not by myself “ A good honest answer. Wow. Perfect little human answer.
Before you put the rosettes on to cover the holes in the doors, consider sinking them in so that they are flush with the body of the door.
I was thinking the same thing
❤@@Littlebit1031
So glad to see an option for dead bolt holes! I live in an old home and we have this problem on several doors.
I am in absolute awe of not only your creativity but your courage. I cried trying to assemble a Christmas tree! and here you are...putting together complicated machinery and learning to use it! For that powder room window, how about a Tiffany style window? It's a little exposed.
Oh you are at the FUN part of putting it together! I am SO excited for you and your family to move in and enjoy the benefits of all your hard work!!
Cannot imagine the resale value if they ever decide to sell it. It’s got to be crazy even at it’s state right now I bet it’s worth a lot
Did you make the kids rooms out of the hallway? I've never seen a small hall in a school unless it was offices
Thank you for taking the time to show us around!
I appreciate you!
Love how much respect you’re giving your home and it’s past life. Honoring what it was before.
I love this project. I am living vicariously through y'all. I have always wanted to to this kind of project, but alas, it's not in the cards for us.

Wow! Kudos to you for learning to use laser machine and rosettes are really a neat idea!
Amazing. Looking great. I like that idea of counter sinking the rosettes into the doors for a smooth finish.
Girl, Those doors turned out AMAZING !!!!!
That laser machine is the bomb! How fun!
What a Clever idea to use to cover those Dead bolt 🕳️ holes
The original doors are my favorite, such a great idea to cover the deadbolts. Arlo is such a cutie!!! 🏫

A kitchen is an engineering feat! Hanging the cabinets is a science all its own and takes a lot of planning and patience! Good job guys!
You have all made huge headways in creating your new home.👍👏
