I met Tie when I lived on Howard and 6th in probably 1997. He rode this old ten speed bike. We went back to my studio and smoked a bunch of weed and hung out and talked about graffiti and art, he gave me a bunch of skateboard decks he did. He was a really cool guy. RIP Tie.
I remember reading about TIE in Big Time magazine. It was girl catching a bus windshield on the cover. The part of his story that stuck out was that he jumped from a building and broke his legs. Short but Dope and rich life.
