Shoot I didn’t know GRIDE had passed either…there’s so many GRIDE up north, so crazy, heavy in Seattle right now. And Tacoma too. I’m from the bay but was just on a trip to WA. So good
When my family drives to Seattle I really enjoy looking at the way the freeway graffiti runs with the car. The letters change with the speed and everything. Fun stuff!
watched this last night, was surreal seeing them tag that billboard i drive by everyday. turned on the radio this morning, hear one of them got arrested for it 😅😅😅
I love how I recognize those Spots! It's been about 15 years since I've been active but every time I drive back thru the town all the way down I5 now the writers in this Doc definitely stand out. Great work!
It’s so crazy actually seeing how all this is done. I’ve only lived in Seattle for a few years and always saw these tags. It’s cool to see a face and voice to match with them.
I remember seeing my first Gride piece, it was on a dumpster on 64th and Yakima Ave in Tacoma back in 2002. It was one of the first pieces that made me wonder what this graff game was. RIP Gride keep Making Shit Pretty all through eternity. ❤🧢
Rip Grider! Wesh is a top notch dude, all the dudes of MSP are legendary, humble, and this doc is so well done. A real look into what art and graffiti in the northwest is! Well done!!
I watched this video a week ago. Driving south down I-5 thru Tacoma and Kent this dude got his name on everything all the way down to exit 109 in Oly RIP GRIDE 🕊️
I do Grafitti in Philly. Someone posted the link to this documentary on Reddit and that’s super cool gride got all this footage before he passed. Also pretty awesome all the people who wrote his name on the highway. Sorry for your loss, he def won’t ever be forgotten! Legend status !

Great documentary! That blockbuster is a couple blocks from me. I don't write, but been keeping track of Seattle pieces for the 2 decades I've lived here. This behind the scenes footage adds valuable context as someone who just observes from the outside.
went to seattle few years ago, MSP and Kodak were crazy up. The amount of ups Keans and Gride had in Seattle and a little outside Seattle was mesmerizing.
Years ago I asked how a writer had passed away on the internet and was schooled by a few guys to never ask that information unless you knew the individual personally, solely out of respect. Now I pass that on to you.
Man.... I still can't believe he's gone. I've been following his work around Washington state since like 2014, damn it's really been 10 years?! My God. Hey, the whole time yo, this dude is up from Seattle Tacoma EVERYWHERE in between CLEAR UP TO ASHFORD right before the mtn!!!! I did my first piece In 2016 but I started tagin more like 2014 and Gride was the first name I seen twice lol he was the first one I seen 1000 times too haha but it brings a tear to my eye for real. Cool to see GRide. Never knew him but everyone i follow has so much love for him that it makes me sad knowing i never will meet the guy. RIP to him, hope his friends and family are doing well
Great documentary. Really eye opening to see behind the graffiti art I’ve seen my whole life. Artists living truly free. That’s a great inspiration. Wish graffiti artists did more to ensure their community avoids spraying over random individuals private property, beautiful architecture, and murals though. Keep it on corporate and city-owned infrastructure. It’s more powerful that way imo.
