    The single exercise that has helped my mechanics is the catch up drill. It is like doing the 1 arm pull, but on both sides. Learn to get full stretch/extension, pull, finish, and recover.

    thanks for the swim tips. I think front quadrant swimming is so important for long distance. I find it more natural to breathe on the right than on the left. Although i do breathe in drills on both sides.. Do you feel its necessary to do a 3 stroke bilateral breathing technique?

    your arm looks like it goes straight down but aren't we meant to be doing a slight s?

      They are not straight down. They are at a slight angle.

      If you are referring to the path the arm takes, yes, the s curve happens slightly but it is not manipulated. This path happens due to rotation. Hope this helps clarify! ✅ -Coach Mandy
