Beterbiev reminds me of a 175lb Marciano. He's gotten off the floor to win emphatically. He's overcome a gash that was shockingly deep and he's a murderous puncher at 175lbs.
It was against Jersey Joe that Rocky’s nose split down the middle. The ref was appalled. His corner was appalled. Men who’d been in ww2. So standards of brutality were different.. they said - Rocky has 1 more round & they are stopping it. Would have lost the title, his unbeaten record. Everything. Marciano goes out and does the legendary 6 inch punch knockout the Suzie Q it was called. Absolutely starches him unconscious... Because it was the only way to win. Good comparison man and I’m happy to add a little context 👊🏻
I had an abscess under my tooth myself. Couldn’t get an appointment at dentist ( U.K. so it’s very hard sometimes ) for about 2 weeks life wasn’t worth living. Lost almost a stone in weight. Couldn’t do much every day but lie in bed in pain. Oh and I was popping painkillers like candy. The opioid ones. Suddenly I wake up I have a weird taste in my mouth. I go rinse it out. I realise I am not only not in pain but I feel fking great! Better than I’ve felt in years. My body is throwing out its natural painkiller at full force but the pain has stopped. My body doesn’t get it yet. Unfortunately after half a day this great feeling goes away. However the idea of having a training camp through that pain and getting actually punched would be like a nightmare beyond hell for me ( and I used to box ) Beterbiev is not really human I think 🥺😳 I tell this story to try and make people understand how bad an abscess under a tooth is. It’s close to getting tortured I think..

Can't wait to see the fight with Bivol. Bivol is a different kind of boxer, and I suspect the combination of Bivol's style, immaculate footwork, volume punching -- and Beterbiev not being a spring chicken -- might just be the end of Artur's reign. ... but if Beterbiev can pull that one off, at this stage of his career, he's the man.
Hi John I don' know if you remember me. I turned 78 on dec 10. I died about 3 weeks ago and and when they restarted my heart they broke my ribs I am recovering but can't drive for 8 weeks
Yes I've hard heart problems for alongtime they brought me back with chest compressions that broke my ribs ribs have healed but they put in a pace maker that's still causing me pain Iturned 78 dec 10 last year.@@IceJohnScully
Assuming that this whole camp story is true right, the comment of how Thompson would rather get hit by a car because in the ring Artur beterbiev can punch like a car hitting you it is justified. Simply because of this , if you get hit by a car, the car stops hitting you so it's a one time run over thing. If you get hit by Beterbiev, he doesn't stop and you know another one is coming. So that's that.

Ask anyone who knows teeth and jaw problems are the biggest threat to a career, more than even hand problems, ask Spence , and it also drains ur energy and other things u don’t think would be affected, but we criticize him for knocking out yarde and Browne 2 of the best guys in the world, late, not a loss, not out boxed, just guys surviving, but they’re trying hard too, they aren’t laying down
