Good analysis. What stands out in my opinion is Beterbievs continued improvement. athletes must work to improve regardless of the sport, and he has shown that. Beterbiev has continually improved, and thats why I’ve enjoyed watching all his fights. Beterbiev has fought the best fighters around and it should be a terrific contest with Bivol.
I like how at 8:22 he was going to hit Johnson until he noticed that only the back of his head was exposed, then he stopped and waited. True sportsmanship 🫡
Great video! He’s my favorite boxer at the moment. His flaws are well discussed in your video. And it could be his problem against Bivol. But his power and movement is excellent. Keep the videos coming! Love your channel.
I can see him putting enormous pressure on Bivol while Bivol using his footwork to escape from the line of fire. One thing is obvious: Bivol will hardly be able to keep Artur off of him, since Beterbiev won't be bothered much by what Bivol can hit him with. This relentless pressure coupled with consistent bodywork will exhaust Bivol as it will seem that the ring is getting smaller and smaller.
Beterbiev beat usyk up like a drum in 2012 but got robbed. Beterbiev is 2-1 against usyk. Usyk been exposed, usyk recently got knocked out against a bum by way of body shot knockout
something Beterbiev does at the start of every round is he’ll bounce up and down on his feet, probably just to stretch out his legs.. but something interesting about this behaviour is the parallel to african gazelles which bounce high into the air to show lions they’re not worth chasing because they can waste energy jumping like that. i’m sure it’s disheartening to his opponents to see him bouncing while they’re tired and wishing the break was longer
veeery strong with those short punches. extreme torque (from wrestling-like training I guess, plus his long torso, long back muscles rather than wide). impressed. thx for the video
@@raizen4271 People also forget Artur has been knocked down 2 times. I believe Bivols punching accuracy is being overlooked a little bit. He does have a defense-first approach, but Beterbiev will have to mind his defense too
something I also like about him is that he most often will target your ear with a looping hook, that's effective because it can bypass a high guard and sometimes if the guy tries to dodge it, it can backfire by making the hook hit the back of their head, which causes way more damage
100% knockout rate is just impressive. Nobody can deny him as nothing less that impressive. Really excited for Bivol vs artur Both my favorite fighters
I think the over-commiting to punches flaw is kind of a trade off of one of his strengths which is switching into the opposite stance while attacking. He tends to step through to the other stance as he throws a punch which has the benefit of creating new angles and catching opponents off guard but the downside is if you get countered while stepping through you have all that forward momentum adding to the power of the opponents punch. I think thats why he often steps through but also takes a slight angle to avoid getting countered.
You got it right! Often times the biggest skill also is the biggest flaw. The key right there is knowing when to lunge without leaving you exposed to the counterattack. Thing is if the opponent is smart enough he knows that too, thats when it becomes a real chess match. Man do I fkn love boxing!

I'm but a mere novice and only train for fun but I tend to switch stances as well. I'm left handed but a former wrestler which means my left foot and hand are more comfortable in the lead. I began training in boxing and switched to a south paw stance as that was what I was told was correct. It was uncomfortable at first but it now feels better. All that to say that I think that made switching to what would be the closest or fastest punch the more natural thing for me to do.
Very scary against Beterbiev, he is a perfect destroyer. I'm sure he'll destroy Bivol too. That 100% KO record is truly terrifying, even he still maintains his record at the age of 39/40. Amazing

Artur is no Marvelous Marvin. C'mon man. Bivol is no SRL. There's no resemblance at all both ways.
There's a small resemblance to Hagler in that he lunges in with his jab. Pretty much it.
