- Jason Timpf reacts to Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics 106-93 win over Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the NBA playoffs. Jason explains how this was Tatum’s best game of the playoffs thus far, and how the Celtics can win an NBA championship if they defend in the same way they did in Game 3.

after a G2 Celtic loss, a 30-minute video of a detailed analysis of every misplay
after a G3 Celtic win, a 10-minute video criticizing their defensive efforts in G2, Tatum bad FGA, & how limited offensively the CAVs are
I'm guilty of watching this Lakers fan take on Celtic & NBA exploits. It's hilarious, nothing as delusional as front-running Laker fans.
is he actually a lakers fan?
@kalyankonduru5831 He 100% is a Lakers fan and has gone on record many times saying so.
That's what we have to deal with as Celtics fans. In the end Banner 18 will shut them all up lol.
@@Drillstanfordbanner 18? Doubt it anytime soon.
He's not a Lakers fan. I respect Lakers fans for the most part. He's a LeBron fan.
Tatum's best playoff game was game 7 vs 76ers last years playoffs. He was calling shots and making them in people's faces.
I think he’s referring to these playoffs
I'm sure he means this year. As many people as disregard Tatum's positive performances in the playoffs in order to focus on where he's come up short, he's had some truly epic games.
down 3-2 heading to milwaukee who won the chip the previous year and put up like 45 in a close game was by far his best playoff performance bruh
@@josephrafferty6763Yeah multiple 50-pieces in the postseason, and several elimination games where he’s the best player on the floor. But everyone but Celtics fans really only care about the few stinkers, because Tatum wear green so he bad.
@@coopercollins5076 A close game vs a game where Tatum completely took over (scoring 51) and at times called the year's MVP (Joel Embiid) over just so Tatum could shoot the ball in his face..... I'm going with game 7 vs the 76ers as Tatum's best playoff performance.
Man finally uploaded after a win who knew lmao
Noo can you do a film session or something later on top of the Cowherd reaction? Love cowherd but hes not a basketball guy i hate listening to him repeat the same surface level statements for 60% of the vid while u have in depth details behind the reaction w data to back it up:(
This is the most accurate description of Colin’s basketball analysis.
Truer words have never been commented! Colin is a casual with a mic, whereas Jason takes deep dives on topics and shows the granular stuff.
It’s honestly painful to listen to. It’s like Dale Gribble attending a Mensa meeting.
Cowherd is Jason’s boss. Jason would not have anything near this big of a platform if Colin didnt give him this show. Jason will never insult or demean Colin’s basketball knowledge no matter how bad it is
@@M3333C Who here actually said that he should demean him? We know that! We just gave a description of what their segments together consist of.
I also thought that Pritchard 3 was huge
Tatum’s biggest offensive problem is he is still settling too much. Multiple times in the second half he opted for fadeaway middies with garland or Mitchell on him.
I mean JB switched the gameplan to have a body in the paint when there was a mismatch on Tatum. Would rather those shots and staying aggressive than side step 3s.
@@treaura6297I don’t mind the mid range but with garland u can’t settle. Mitchell will fight at less you
@@treaura6297 all I know is that when there’s a point guard on Tatum, he needs to back them down and finish at the rim.
To both of you guys points, He attacked d Mitch for a drive almost every possession. And garland always had help when he would back down but I feel you.
@@treaura6297 The point you brought up about garland is exactly why I don’t want him settling. He’s too big for those guys to guard straight up so they have to send a double and compromise the weak side.
Garland can get separation on anybody he struggles to finish.
cause he is guarded well
probably being 5”10 is the issue 😂
Most of the time he settles for jumpers or stepback jumpers. If only he realizes that his layups has higher percentage of going in than his jumpers. He was being guarded by Garland, Strus and sometime Mitchell. None of them would beat him to the rack. Instead he would do the step back which he missed a couple in G3. And why he gets beat up sometimes? He waits for their defense to settle. He needs to master that first jap step or work on his angle to make his drive more effective. He has got size and height, they switch like everytime and he should exploit those mismatches. Ok, im just a keyboard coach. More power HT! Keep rockin!
The embarrassment of game 2 should prevent a Celtics defensive let-down in game 4. Emphasis on *should*.
So After a Celtic Win it’s “We’re just gonna be short 10 minutes” but after a L it’s a 45 minute breakdown with a follow up video. Your Laker Lover hate is obvious just admit to your bias buddy.
He does admit his bias. The problem is he tells his audience that he doesn’t let his bias get in the way when that is obviously not the case.
Brown stabilize the offense
Still no Celtics game 4 discussion????
Mailbag: How come Tatum almost never rolls to the basket? Seems like he would be perfect for it.
🔥
Can't waittttt to watch Jason's tears when celtics win the chip 😂😂😂😂😂
Why does Cleveland love surrounding great players with absolute bums. Feel bad for Mitchell.
No sweat for me as a huge something span because I always predicted Cavaliers would win at least one game just like Miami did. Always that second one lol. I’m sure the Knicks or the Pacers will win the second game too. That will be it though. In the finals I don’t know yet. It’s the finals you’re going up against the best. Probably go game seven
someone how tatum still shot like 40%. they’re better with less iso, and the dude makes the tough shots misses the easy ones, i don’t get it
Kobe. difference, Kobe makes his badshots lol
@@FM_Chatti Kobe's career field goal percentage was basically the same as Tatum in these playoffs and everyone seems to think he's shooting like garbage
@@DGlaky true. He just makes the most needed bad shots
Crazy because he shoulda had 40. People will say I’m nitpicking but he Cavs have nobody for him. He did the foul baiting like 3/4 times and shooting bozo threes
Mailbag question: Hey Jason do you think that lebron is a coach killer that doesn't take accountability because I've been seeing this opinion trend all over nba social media with mainstream media analysts and past nba players like Byron Scott and Reggie Miller on air insinuating that. What is your opinion on that
I'm a lifelong celtics fan and this dude has been spot on. Shot selection and ball movement are sometimes inexcusably bad, defensive effort is so hit or miss. I've watched tatum in the playoffs under 3 different coaches and have noticed the same things every year. He's not a good team leader. Incredible talent, exceptional player...but not a leader. Not mentally tough, and has a tough time letting the game come to him.
I'd be stoked if the C's won a chip behind Tatum, but I'd honestly be shocked. Hope they prove me wrong.
When my Dubs played you guys in the finals, it was Brown that always scared me, hes got that killer mentality. Tatum can be bullied defensively and it gets in his head.
