  • Jason Timpf reacts to Jayson Tatum and the Boston Celtics 106-93 win over Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the NBA playoffs. Jason explains how this was Tatum’s best game of the playoffs thus far, and how the Celtics can win an NBA championship if they defend in the same way they did in Game 3.

    after a G3 Celtic win, a 10-minute video criticizing their defensive efforts in G2, Tatum bad FGA, & how limited offensively the CAVs are

    Most of the time he settles for jumpers or stepback jumpers. If only he realizes that his layups has higher percentage of going in than his jumpers. He was being guarded by Garland, Strus and sometime Mitchell. None of them would beat him to the rack. Instead he would do the step back which he missed a couple in G3. And why he gets beat up sometimes? He waits for their defense to settle. He needs to master that first jap step or work on his angle to make his drive more effective. He has got size and height, they switch like everytime and he should exploit those mismatches. Ok, im just a keyboard coach. More power HT! Keep rockin!

    Mailbag question: Hey Jason do you think that lebron is a coach killer that doesn't take accountability because I've been seeing this opinion trend all over nba social media with mainstream media analysts and past nba players like Byron Scott and Reggie Miller on air insinuating that. What is your opinion on that

  • @andywrenolds
    @andywrenolds 19 дней назад +1

    I'm a lifelong celtics fan and this dude has been spot on. Shot selection and ball movement are sometimes inexcusably bad, defensive effort is so hit or miss. I've watched tatum in the playoffs under 3 different coaches and have noticed the same things every year. He's not a good team leader. Incredible talent, exceptional player...but not a leader. Not mentally tough, and has a tough time letting the game come to him.
    I'd be stoked if the C's won a chip behind Tatum, but I'd honestly be shocked. Hope they prove me wrong.
