I watched all of MJ's championships and big moments live, but that Game 7 in 2016 is my favorite basketball memory.
LeBron is the one that actually calmed me down by saying, it's okay, we're taking one game at a time, after each game, he was calm. My nerves were stretched to the limit, as a fan of the Cavs, and, here he was calming me down. Unforgettable performance by my Cavs.❤❤

2:27 PG had a moment there 😂 PG's respect for Bron is real, hopefully after retirement Bron would come on the show. Thumbnail has us baited "Ty Lue Figured Them Out" I don't think it takes any coach or even most human being that long to figure out you slack off someone who don't/can't shoot nor have the tendencies to do it. I came in hoping to hear something Ty Lue did and that speaks a lot LMAO. You can't gameplan your #1 option leading both teams in points/rebounds/assists/steals/blocks. 😂
Cavs fan here, what won us that series is Andrew bought’s injury, games 5-7 kyrie had lay ups for DAYS and lebron was hammering down once a quarter, put bogut in and I think GS stays composed and gets some of those rebounds in game 7
Interesting take. Cavs were without Love & Kyrie for most/all of the series the year prior. You’d be hard pressed to get a GSW fan to admit that’s why they won.
Your perspective does exists, so I get it but here’s the thing, Bogut only played 12 minutes a game and he only averaged 3 rebounds and 3 points a game. I hear you on the rim protection where he averaged 2 blocks and altered even more, but what he contributed in those 12 minutes wasn’t enough to be the difference maker, for both wins and losses. He had 3 blocks in game 5 and the Cavs were still up when he got injured. He had 1 block and 2 rebounds in game 3 when the Cavs won by 30. He had zero blocks in game 1 when the Warriors won big. He had 1 block, 1 rebound and 0 points in 10 minutes when the Warriors won game 4. He wasn’t the reason they were up 3-1. Their small ball line up was. The line up the Cavs eventually figure out.
That’s the weirdest serie in NBA History, game 7 was the only one close, games 1 to 6 were all blowouts. Seems like the coach who prepared better for each game whooped the other coach ass.
Nope not at all. It’s Game 7 and at that point the players need to win that game. The first ever unanimous MVP threw the ball out of bounds, Kerr can’t control that. Kerr also can’t control LeBron having a triple double. Game 7, When the money is on the line, I’m looking for the superstar players to bring it home, not the coaches.
@@ICYMIINMIYreading comprehension is extremely lacking here 😂😂 And Lebron didn't do nothing on that 4th quarter but only that block against Iggy that he did sneakily from behind. Quit trying to shovel our throat as if it's all him as it was Kyrie who made the most monumental shot of that series, not Lebron! 😂
The refs and the league figured them out. The Cavs won game 7 flat out. That Lebron block, Kyrie 3 etc was master class. But the pivot in officiating in games 5 and 6 were obscene if you have watched NBA your whole life. The Draymond suspension and the officiating was highlighted by Tim Donaghy on Mike and Mike after game 5. That segment has been erased since, I wonder why 😂.
Yeah, they knew once Bron cried to the NBA for a play that wasn't even called a flagrant within the game and got suspended for that next game. Changed the entire dynamics of the series... STOP!
Ngl. Takin the 15th mans defensive advice in the last couple games of the NBA Finals. Wit everything that wuz on the line. And implementing it rite then and there is next level. Lebron indeed does have a beautiful basketball mind
1. Bogut injury. Before Bogut's injury, the Cavs averaged 95.8 points per game. After Bogut's injury, the Cava averaged 106.7 points per game. This is the single largest reason why the Warriors lost the series. 2. Iggy injury in game 6 Ty Lue just figured out that the Warriors were hurt.
Thanks Kd for ruining Cavs Vs Warriors rivalry. It could have been special, but he decided to give Gs the Game genie cheat codes for automatic wins. #LAME
Draymond got a tech AFTER the game and got suspended that’s mainly what happened. I don’t think they ever figured the Warriors defense out. Cavs took the momentum and Iggy and Bogut got hurt, while HB was doing nothing.
That’s exactly what happened. They didn’t figure shit out. How you go down 3-1 against a hobbled Warriors squad and barely beat them in game 7. Brons block and Kyrie shot won them that game. Other than that they still would’ve lost. Anyone who plays the game knows momentum is a real thing. When Steph couldn’t even get by slew footed ass Kevin love you knew he was still injured. FOH talking about what they figured out. Shit is laughable.
Ya if draymond was there game 5 it would’ve been over Steph couldn’t close it out without him that was prime draymond 30 points game 7 Steph was nowhere to be found
Lmaoooo if dray played its a wrap if the warriors wasn't hobbled they had the momentum, if kelly olynk didn't exist and kyrie don't break his knee cap the warriors are the greatest losers 2 years In a row 2015 playoffs lebron sprained his ankle over 5 times, still lead a young new team to the finals, great excuse the warriors were hobbled so they didn't win if the 2015 cavs were lucky enough to just be hobbled they go b2b warriors ran through the 2015 playoffs playing injured teams and a rockets team that wasnt suppose to be in the conference, and the mvp got outplayed by a slow aussie with no athleticism in the finals But a chip is a chip great season ended with a title, then went on to have a a better and best season of all time just to lose at the highest degree, then they won 2 of the easiest rings that are probably not worth less then any title ever Miami making it to the finals in the bubble or even last season was more impressive then the KD rings
Bogut getting injured and Draymond being suspended turned the series and then ky & bron went god mode but also Steph choked Game 7 that’s what it came down to.
That cavs team came together like crazy, everyone was adding their input, even dahntay and mo williams lol. Also Tristan Thompson destroyed the warriors as soon as bogut got injured
Momentum is real man. Cavs did what they were suppose to do, but draymond let bron bait him with a few minutes left in the game and he fell for it. That was the first and biggest domino in my opinion. Bron and kyrie played they ass off though.
In what way did he figure them out being down 3-1?😂 I’m confused… did they not have help from the league? Suspending Draymond didn’t play a factor? How were they figured out?
The game plan was Bogut breaking his leg and Draymond getting suspended. Props to Cavs for taking advantage of the moment. But the warriors were definitely a better team.
Here we go, *Well Kyrie & Love being hurt with ankle and shoulder injuries help Golden state (GS) win the 2015 Finals* In 2016 GS losses 3-1 lead to Cavs for the 1st Ever Championship tmk. Then 2017 GS, Draymond, and Curry run and recurits and gets KD, after KD lost to them then joined them. All of this was done for one man LJ which *shows how dangerous the Cavs* were pending Kyrie stays & Matures and how great LJ is.
@demontiakpinkney5881 no. I'm just making sure that the facts are out there. Dubs won in '15 because of injuries Cavs won in '16 because of injuries. When both teams were healthy, Dubs won back to back.
@@rameroyale5189 Yea but *you fail to mention that it wasn't the Orginal Golden State (GS) that was the healthy team they added Kevin Durant in 2017 & into 2018* then GS dismissed him in 2019 after losing to Raptors in Finals because KD and Klay were hurt, a reflection of 2015 finals just reversed. So dont act like in 2017 & 2018 they didnt have KD, it wasnt just *Curry, Draymond and Klay* had GS not added KD, LJ and Cavs are winning in 2017 & 2018 Finals pending Kyrie stays and matures and understands his role with LJ.

One thing people never talk about was Currys choke session that whole series. This was 2016 Steph we’re talking about, he was missing shots that whole series that he would pretty leisurely cash in during the season. Off the dribble, fall always, deep threes, contested, he was making all these shots that season with the highest efficiency, so if he didn’t produce that choke job of a show he did during the finals 2016, Lebrons legacy would’ve been different, and the Cavs would’ve lost 4-0, cause they were already down 3-1 while Curry was not playing like his unanimous MVP self, so imagine what would’ve happened if Curry was playing like he did during the season 👀. But Curry choked and Kyrie and Lebron didn’t so the rest is history.

If the Cavs could win 2 damn games without Kyrie and Love, then GS should be able to win a SINGLE game without Bogut. Enough with the excuses. They choked and then ran to beg KD to join. End of.

Lue figured them out? yeah, How amazing. it does not take a bright mind to figure out to attack the basket 2 straight games. when there is no Bogut, Draymond or any defensive presence inside the basket for 2 straight games. Lol.
Andrew Bogut - the Warriors' actual only interior presence - missed Game 6 and 7. Mix that with Draymond missing Game 5, and it was the perfect recipe for a comeback Don't get me wrong, Lue and LeBron and Kyrie were absolutely bloody brilliant those last 3 games. But the injuries/suspension sure played a part too. And don't forget even Cavs players/coaches afterward admitted they knew Steph was injured that series. I'll never forget the feeling in the closing seconds of Game 7, when Kevin Love locked up Steph and made him miss his last shot and I realized the Cavs were actually going to win this thing and I was witnessing history. I watched all of MJ's championships and big moments live, but that Game 7 in 2016 is my favorite basketball memory.
People never talk about the Warriors being down 3-1 the round before
Huh? Yeah they do, that’s part of what made KD look so pathetic joining them.
Because it’s irrelevant you win a 3-1 then blow a 3-1 lead on the stage where it all counts that’s a master class L 💀💀💀
@@slimrocket1955 right, they say lebron joined superteams, but they ignore KD joining the hottest teams in the league
@@crizzleyo815 Everyone talks about this all the time
They should’ve never been down 3-1 to OKC in the first place
LeBron is the one that actually calmed me down by saying, it's okay, we're taking one game at a time, after each game, he was calm. My nerves were stretched to the limit, as a fan of the Cavs, and, here he was calming me down. Unforgettable performance by my Cavs.❤❤
Security seen that money put in the ceiling like 👏🏾
When I was watching this game with my pops the cable had actually cut off the final two ish mins or minute and a half so I just kept refreshing google waiting for score updates 😂😂 I never got to even see the shot live. Watched the entire series though
Thats why Draymond have insane stat line they let him
2:27 PG had a moment there 😂
PG's respect for Bron is real, hopefully after retirement Bron would come on the show.
Thumbnail has us baited "Ty Lue Figured Them Out"
I don't think it takes any coach or even most human being that long to figure out you slack off someone who don't/can't shoot nor have the tendencies to do it.
@@Soopologynow that is 100% true, lebron was up 2-1 on GS before he ran out of gas in the 15 finals, with even kyrie playing they probably won.
That's a true statement for sure. We also lost Iggy in game 5 so when draymond came back we still didn't have rim protection.
Yep.. that was the huge difference.. Bron and Kyrie went to the rim w/o any opposition
The number 1 sporting comeback of all time 💯💪⛹️♂️🏆
That’s the weirdest serie in NBA History, game 7 was the only one close, games 1 to 6 were all blowouts.
Found out how to beat them beforehand and still got down 3-1 lol. LeBron and kyrie figured it out.
Need a 30 for 30 on that series or a propee documentary was unbelievable how bron and kyrie played game 5 to 7
Yeah, they knew once Bron cried to the NBA for a play that wasn't even called a flagrant within the game and got suspended for that next game. Changed the entire dynamics of the series... STOP!

Ngl. Takin the 15th mans defensive advice in the last couple games of the NBA Finals. Wit everything that wuz on the line. And implementing it rite then and there is next level. Lebron indeed does have a beautiful basketball mind
Thanks Paul George , i watch translate korean!
1. Bogut injury. Before Bogut's injury, the Cavs averaged 95.8 points per game. After Bogut's injury, the Cava averaged 106.7 points per game. This is the single largest reason why the Warriors lost the series.
2. Iggy injury in game 6
Ty Lue just figured out that the Warriors were hurt.
The game was rigged by the NBA anyway. GSW never had a chance lol
Yea but losing bogut can hardly compare to the cavs not having kyrie or love the year before
The cavs were without Kyrie and KLove the year prior and I don’t hear yall ever giving grace for that
I ain’t tryna hear it 😤
Yep, this was probably the biggest reason for the series loss.
Everyone knows that series was rigged. Black mark on lebron’s legacy if anything
Thanks Kd for ruining Cavs Vs Warriors rivalry. It could have been special, but he decided to give Gs the Game genie cheat codes for automatic wins. #LAME
I remember game genie…
Shit….I’m old 😂
Hindsight is 10/10
Bogut injury was the game changer.
Lol not really
Look i wanted the Warriors to win. But let's be real they choked or you could say they decided to have a slump at the worst time
Bron and Kyrie dropping 40 each is still one of my favourite performance of all time. Both as a duo was so mf raw
Ya if draymond was there game 5 it would’ve been over Steph couldn’t close it out without him that was prime draymond 30 points game 7 Steph was nowhere to be found
Lmaoooo if dray played its a wrap if the warriors wasn't hobbled they had the momentum, if kelly olynk didn't exist and kyrie don't break his knee cap the warriors are the greatest losers 2 years In a row
2015 playoffs lebron sprained his ankle over 5 times, still lead a young new team to the finals, great excuse the warriors were hobbled so they didn't win if the 2015 cavs were lucky enough to just be hobbled they go b2b
warriors ran through the
2015 playoffs playing injured teams and a rockets team that wasnt suppose to be in the conference, and the mvp got outplayed by a slow aussie with no athleticism in the finals
But a chip is a chip great season ended with a title, then went on to have a a better and best season of all time just to lose at the highest degree, then they won 2 of the easiest rings that are probably not worth less then any title ever
Miami making it to the finals in the bubble or even last season was more impressive then the KD rings
Bogut getting injured and Draymond being suspended turned the series and then ky & bron went god mode but also Steph choked Game 7 that’s what it came down to.
Draymond suspension and Curry getting into foul trouble are the biggest red flags I ever seen in a basketball game that the Refs were not impartial!
please, look at what draymond did that playoff run and continues to do to this day. He has only himself to blame

Meh. Probably some sketchers.
That cavs team came together like crazy, everyone was adding their input, even dahntay and mo williams lol. Also Tristan Thompson destroyed the warriors as soon as bogut got injured
Thats discrediting Tristian he averaged 10 pts 13 boards in 2015 against healthy dray and bogut they couldn’t stop him
If don’t give the ref their props, you aren’t telling the whole story…
Yeah….I agree with you….the refs gave GS all the calls….and they still lost!
Momentum is real man. Cavs did what they were suppose to do, but draymond let bron bait him with a few minutes left in the game and he fell for it. That was the first and biggest domino in my opinion. Bron and kyrie played they ass off though.

What about 2015? Cavs woulda won the title that year if Kyrie and love never got hurt. curry wasn’t ready to lead that team yet
@demontiakpinkney5881 stop it, you sound stupid. All that "would'a, could'a, should'a" talk is dishonest. The way it played out was the way it was supposed to play out. Make an argument based on facts not ur feelings.
Greatest win in NBA history.
The only thing that was rigged that year was allowing KD by commissioner to join them.
That wasn't rigged. The commissioner can't block a player from signing in FA, lol. This wasn't a Lakers CP3 trade type deal
@@Fieryvortex48 It doesn’t matter was it trade or free agency. That move should never be allowed. Destroyed basketball for 3 years. Only thanks to massive injuries they didn’t 3-peat. @@brandan24682015 LeBron played without Kyrie and Kevin. Warriors would definitely loss if either one of the would play. 2016 is well known. Cavs would beat Warriors again in 2017. There is a reason why they went for KD.
PG hope next podcast KLove will be your guest...👌✔️💯👍😍

No one gives Cavs grace for going 6 games without Love/Kyrie in 2015. No one says it was rigged in GSW favour. No one says it was rigged when Kawhi and Raptors won it. If the Cavs could win 2 damn games without Kyrie and Love, then GS should be able to win a SINGLE game without Bogut. Enough with the excuses. They choked and then ran to beg KD to join. End of.

Aside for the big momentum swings, it really came down to star power. Kyrie is fairly even with Steph and Bron had Harrison Barnes who was left open all series long which is why the addition was necessary. Klay was a no show like he is now.
Bogut going down, Iggy’s back going out and Draymond getting suspended is why things changed in that series.

Don't get me wrong, Lue and LeBron and Kyrie were absolutely bloody brilliant those last 3 games. But the injuries/suspension sure played a part too. And don't forget even Cavs players/coaches afterward admitted they knew Steph was injured that series.
Again, give credit where credit is due - Cavs deserved that title. But it was a perfect storm (like for any NBA title) that led to it, not sheer overpowering a 73-win team like the media makes it out to be
