Hi sir if i use a G lenses with the A7CR will the image crop ? Will i also have the option to shoot 61MP ? Or would i have to only shoot 26MP ? Please let me know thanks !
You’ll only shoot in 26mp if you use apsc lens or opt to shoot in apsc mode with FE lenses. G lenses just Sony way to “grade” their lens, so there are G lenses for APSC and Full Frame equivalent.
You shoot 26 megapixels if you enter into APSC mode. So if you have the setting turned on in your camera to automatically switch over to APSC mode when an APSC lens is attached then you will drop down to 26 megapixels if you manually switch over into APSC mode then you will shoot in 26 megapixels
I almost got one 2 weeks ago. Maybe for Christmas. Shrinkflation - products give you less but manufacturers still charge the same price😢. Thank your politicians for tariffs, campaign donations to not stop inflation and so on. Sony … firmware…just go ahead and ask for a bricked camera
worst part is that they will charge you to repair it for something that is their fault even in warranty. The very problem that is the father of what Sony has become is the customers themselves. The vast majority have no impact in the brand because they're peasants that can barely afford an aps-c mirrorless and a kit lens, and the one percent that can actually talk to Sony would rather get the highest end model instead of complaining. One of my biggest pet peeves with Sony are electronic viewfinders: on A77II the resolution stayed the same: full HD. A7IV supposedly has a 2k viewfinder, but it's resolution is HD (not full HD) when performing autofocus, focus peaking, stabilization etc. If that is with a 4m dot viewfinder imagine the ones on A6700 with HD resolution 🤦♂️
