Great! Recently switched from the yellow brand to Metabo, liking the CAS-mentality and the (mostly) EU-made tools, and was hoping for some battery development and here it is! Any pouch-cell batteries in the pipeline or is that not high on the list of priorities? Greetings from the Netherlands!
What are the main differences to the "old" LiHD 8.0 or 4.0 pack? Can you be specific regarding the data? Metabo Tech told me, a 5.5 LiHD pack would roughly max out at around 1400W of power - does this 8.0 pack offer more power? does it use different cells? Does it have a different IP rating? like ipx68? Einhell - cheap German brand - now offers a waterproof, dustproof battery pack... something similar planned? Also, with 4.0 and 8.0 - maybe we can see a 12.0 Ah pack in the future?!
Hi Kniefi, please have a look at our landingpage: www.metabo.com/com/en/info/competence/battery-pack-technology/lihdx-battery-pack/ Best regards, Mike (Team Metabo)
@@metabo Ah ok thanks - I see - 1800W for the 8.0 Pack is quite a lot! nice! Now a 12.0 Pack would be nice/awesome! To avoid building too high (so it does not fit into the lawnmower or other machines anymore) you guys could opt for a 15-cell construct - divided by pairs of 5 - 7 in the lowest row because of the cutve in the design and 8 batteried in the row above! So an extra-long- 5s3p pack with 12.0 AH for the most demanding endurance jobs.
Richtig gut freue mich schon sehr darauf! Jetzt fehlt nur noch das Ihr die Akku Bandsägen wieder auf den Markt bringt!🙂
