Thank you! I found it confusing how to move my fingers in pairs at frst, but in a few minutes I had it. There is a lot a beginner like me can learn from Slayer riffs.
Wow... that was easy. Except for the all-downpicking-part. Thanks for sharing this tutorial. It's been quite to the point! 🤘 Dadadadadummdadummdadaaaa...
PRETTY EASY SONG !!! I remember learning this one in the mid ninties wwhen METAL BRY BRY was just knee high too a grasshopper !!! Lol!! Just jokes Bud !!! Excellent tutoriol ,i think i will save for future referance !!! Just in case my memery gets foggy in me okder years !!! #Cheers Bud !!! Thanks for the tips !!! Soooo helpfull !!! Appreciated!!!
Power chording the 0s makes more sense for the tuning. Another version was showing just straight zeroes, which made it weird that I wasn't just in drop-D instead.
Great video, I have a Schecter Hellraiser diamond series w/ active pick ups and absolutely freaking love it. First thing I noticed when the video loaded, Schecter! Lol. I play on a Roland 30x sounds and sound identical to your rig. What amp are you play on?
Yo you're very good guitar player I learne most of my guitar songs by you but the way you're playing the song in the beginning is it accurate to how Kerry King plays
@@metalbryan101 bro you're the reason why play dead skin mask I was just saying is it accurate to help Kerry King plays bro I'm your biggest fan your spirit in Black and expendable youth blow s all the RUclips videos away without a doubt good job making those videos
I love it. Remember, Not everyone is a good guitar player. Nice that you show the different versions. What kind of distortion box do you play through? Is it special for E flat? Seems all Slayer songs I've looked to learn today were E flat. Expendable Youth, And Post Mortem too. I'll work my up on those this week :)
tommy deshields Yes Slayer, especially classic Slayer is mainly tuned to E flat. I use the clean channel on my Marshall 50DFX amp using a Boss GT-3 effects pedal. Thanks!
hey metalbryan, can you give any tips on how to improve downpicking speed? I try to relax when I do it but it just doesn't work, and then I try with a lot more force and then my arm tenses up. do I just need to do it for a really long time until the tension goes away?
Sal Vitale hey dude... yes here's a tip: warm up! You have to have your picking hand totally used to going bullshit fast. Play a few songs or rhythms that put ur picking hand in pain. Then stop. Take a minute break. Play again... play faster. Stop. Then play again. Don't get discouraged. It hurts! But once you punished ur picking hand for about 15 minutes you will be ready to down pick anything! Of course you need to do this routinely and then suddenly u will be like... holy shit!! I can do it! Trust me you can.
Hell yeah!! Thanks for the lesson. That's awesome!!
Just for that lil' middle finger flip, im giving you an upvote. Really spontaneous and funny af
🤘😂🤘

The notes are accurate, but I am using the Dave Mustaine spider chord method. So no, you dont have to play it the way I am.

Thanx. I just put a lil 59 pickup in my neck, and a screaming demon in the bridge of my warlock. I'll look that pedal up! I appreciate ya 3:)
tommy deshields most slayer is in E-flat but they also use Standard tuning, Drop B, B-flat(so half step down) on a 7-string, and C# Standard🙂😀😁😃🙂😀😂😀
sorry I don't speak English so I can't understand; is a standard tuning or lower?
Rafael Iglesias d sharp tuning sorry
Eb Standard tuning, why did people all the sudden start calling it D# Its the same thing but thats not what he would say he tunes to.
I have the same exact guitar
you are using bridge pickups or neck pickups and what is the difference between them both?
use the bridge pickup, sounds a lot better, most metal rythm players use bridge exclusively I think
that's what i realized i was playing on my neck pickup for 2 years now and i always say there is something wrong with my tone! lol thanks
Thanks ☘️🤘🏻😊
Was watching and realized you got the same guitar strap as me
Me too. Ha
hey Thanks a lot! May I ask you though, for how long have you been playing guitar?
I am only asking because I've started like 5 months ago :P
killipedi A Been playing since I was 14... Ill be 40 this year. But I was only ever able to play like this for the past 4/5 years.
