Absolutely. Lil Kim has severe body dysmorphia and is a colorist. Being used and rejected by Biggie may not have been the start of her messed up perspective of darkskin, but his treatment of her definitely had a deeper (devastating) affect (and effect) of her mental state.
Often time black ppl are the biggest colorist which is sad..this girl killed the role and Kim couldn’t see that

Naturi is the type of female mother's want to see they son's Marry. She's so humble, down to earth and Wife material.
I met Naturi at the Brooklyn Bridge Hop Festival a few years back. I approached her and asked her to take a selfie with me and without hesitation she took the picture with me and was honestly a very sweet and kind person. I wish her nothing but the best because of her humility.

I always thought the issue was that Lil Kim felt she wasn't included in the making of the movie.
Colorism is tricky and I am sure Naturi is aware of this. Hollywood has a habit of using dark skinned women to play the "black sheep" or villian of the film. If Faith Evans could find an actress that looked just like AND could sing, they could find someone who looked more like Lil Kim. I think we all know that Kim suffers from body dysmophia and obviously this would be triggering for her. Unfortunately, Naturi had to take Lil Kim's wrath, because Black women tend to attack each other rather than the MEN that are typically behind these things.

NATURI fully BODIED that role as Lil Kim! 💯🙌🏾💪🏾 I remember watching it in theaters and saying 'wow, nobody could have done this better'. The casting was spot-on and I was so proud of her b/c that was the 1st time I saw her truly as an actress. She did so great and it was just so unfortunate & heartbreaking 💔 that Lil Kim did that and said the things she said when imo she really and truly embodied her back in the 90's. I felt bad about that considering all the prior issues with 3LW and all the colorism we face within our own community and even the stupid fucking shit 50 Cent did to her too. It's ridiculous b/c it's evident Lil Kim dont love her blackness or have any self-worth. So for her to h8 on Naturi for playing her in a movie role, it is almost unsurprising because she doesnt even look like herself anymore.
