I dont like Dragon Ball Super. The Sad thing is Super has Potential to be good but the Problem with the Series it takes the Worst thing from the Series and make it worse. I am getting tired of akira Toriyama regressing his Characters. First was Yamcha, Second Gohan, and now Goten and Trunks.
Super sucks to me. It doesnt feel like there's a story in it at all. Its all just transformations, recolors, and just instant new forms out of no where. Ulra Instinct and Mastered SSB No Ki are the only good things that feel like Z's tone but the rest of Super doesn't feel like Z. Everything is just rushed, scaling makes no sense, there is no tension, no stakes. No weight and the other characters are just useless uness they get dumb instant recolor forms.
I feel like Piccolo Sacrificing himself for Gohan in Z was more impact is because we didn't expect it and it shoes that he actually cares about Gohan eventho he hates Gohans dad

It recycles everything from Z, the characters and their stories and completely bastardizes it, ie Bardock, Broly, Freeza, Future Trunks, etc. It removes Goku's character arc where he's an outcast from a genocidal Spartan style civilization, to a super cliche Superman style origin story, with loving parents. The power ups are all recolored hair, very lazy. The conflicts are really uninteresting, there's no tension. The Gods in DB and DBZ were only supporting characters, whereas in Super they're over powered and interfere with the conflicts, thus there's no suspense. The antagonists have zero personality and have no interesting lore or feud. I could go on. GT was rightfully shunned, back in the day, but fans don't have any standards anymore since they love this horrible sequel series Super, which is far worse than GT.
Good video but I’d say Super Saiyan being de-valued has roots in the Buu arc with Goten and Kid Trunks getting it automatically. Some fans say it’s because they were born with it and half Saiyans are talented but it was still a slap in the face to everything happened earlier. He doesn't keep losing to him. He's won before, numerous times if you include Goku reaching new levels of power as a form of victory. Vegeta won through deceit in the Buu saga.
I love how much experience you have out watching ALL shows. See I lost interest since battle of gods. Battle of gods was the best and last movie I've watched from the whole Super arc. GT was more interesting because it had the style of original dragon ball, it had a whole NEW plot. It even connected a lot of the current dbz characters BETTER than Super did. I just got so annoyed by Super being so popular compared to dbz and dragon ball. They were the original, more effort put into them than Super and the newer arcs. You are showing my hatred towards the newer things of dragon ball as a series with your voice. Especially with the original character we grew up loving up until dbz. Besides Goku, there was Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, Chiaotzu, the Z fighters basically. They all got smashed to bits as far as martial artists. What I thought would happen was that they were going to do an ark where in universe 6 goku doesn't hit his head and is evil. That was my theory for black goku when I saw the leaks.
The worst part is the style differences, in dbz you could visually see how powerful and meaningful the power ups were cause the rocks would fly and shit, in super goku turning super sayian god blue or whatever doesn’t even seem grander than ssj3 transformation. In my opinion super should have taken place after z, with the story being just battle of God's, tournament of power and the broly movie. With the forms being SSJ God and UI
But making the God forms have a SSJ4 aesthetic, because the Saiyans are literal monkeys snd not overpowered humans, I hate how Super is making these forms look like humans it is so dumb.
GT was way better imo. OG Dragon Ball and Z are the best, but GT felt like it wanted to expand on the ideas and progress the characters from Z. SSJ4 being similar to SSJ3's anime transformation is a really cool connection. The dragon balls with Shenron being the ultimate villain was a great end as well. Super just felt like continuing the series to continue it and no other reason.
Super revealed just how shallow the storytelling is in DBZ, especially after the Cell Saga. None of the most interesting character were allowed to developed pass Goku, despite being longtime fan favorites. After the Android saga none of the humans were relevant other than Bulma.

Superman style origin is not cliche. Even the manga didn't make him a Saiyan he was just a kid with a tail based on journey to the west.

22:43 tbf, Trunks time traveling in the first place is what caused issues with the gods. Trunks created majority of the time rings that exist.

Yeah to me there is no redeeming Dragon Ball super to me I like the idea of the Super Saiyan God transformation and Goku fighting beerus during the Battle of Gods but after that it had to the overall excitement of drinking a flat soda there never should have been a Super Saiyan blue or Ultra instinct Super Saiyan God should have been the flagship of Dragon Ball super it should have been all about Goku mastering that form and learning how to control his God key better and mastering different techniques to use with the form but honestly I didn't like the way that Goku was betrayed in super either he wasn't that dumb even as a kid he completely ignored the risk of fighting while GT's version of Goku was smart and calculative and retained his intelligence and GT wasn't watered down by transformations like super was is it always seem like in super every time Goku achieves one transformation it never seemed to finish the job Wallin GT Goku had Super Saiyan 4 which to me was easily Goku's most iconic form other than the Super Saiyan 3 transformation but in GT Super Saiyan 4 Goku was perfect both in mind and body and spirit while I never seen this display from Goku super counterpart but yeah I agree with you with the pallet swaps it seem like that's all they ever did I also agree that Frieza should have remained dead it just told me that they couldn't come up with an interesting antagonist are they ran into writer's block and only thing they could come up with was bringing Frieza back and it made it even worse by putting it into the an actual series of super then ask for the Goku black Ark I perfectly agree with you that they should have left it as an evil version of Goku From Another Dimension that just happened to slip through but another thing I did not like is the use of Vegito I mean for Vegito was awesome during the Majin Buu saga so you mean to tell me that Goku and Vegeta after all that training of God key their Fusion Vegito could not have defeated fused zumasu another poor use of a character could have forgiven the whole Omni King destroying trunk's future or to get rid of fused zamasu if beerus had spoke up I said trunks could no longer use time travel and would have to stay in the same room as Goku and Vegeta I mean trunks is whole timeline was destroyed so what would be the point of returning I mean beerus and whis simply detested time travel they hated to even mention of it so why would all the sudden their minds change just poor writing and to thank Future Trunks would have been a good Ally in the Tournament of power and speaking of which was another failure but this I can honestly say Dragon Ball super through a monkey wrench running to the motor called Dragon Ball just like Dragon Ball Z a bridge created the monkey wrench so many years before super came out but yeah there was no tension is it always seem like whatever happened beerus or whis or even the Omni king would be there to erase the problem well at least through Dragon Ball Dragon Ball Z and GT they were extreme consequences but I appreciate there are more people like you and saiyan scholar let's speak the truth about the horrible disgrace that super was appreciate the video.

I love how much experience you have out watching ALL shows. See I lost interest since battle of gods. Battle of gods was the best and last movie I've watched from the whole Super arc. GT was more interesting because it had the style of original dragon ball, it had a whole NEW plot. It even connected a lot of the current dbz characters BETTER than Super did. I just got so annoyed by Super being so popular compared to dbz and dragon ball. They were the original, more effort put into them than Super and the newer arcs. You are showing my hatred towards the newer things of dragon ball as a series with your voice. Especially with the original character we grew up loving up until dbz. Besides Goku, there was Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, Chiaotzu, the Z fighters basically. They all got smashed to bits as far as martial artists. When I heard that Tien had a dojo and teaching a bunch of people his skills and stuff I was like "YES" but then once he was shown to be garbage in Super I was like "You gotta be kidding me." The worst part is the style differences, in dbz you could visually see how powerful and meaningful the power ups were cause the rocks would fly and shit, in super goku turning super sayian god blue or whatever doesn’t even seem grander than ssj3 transformation. Dragon ball super is preferred by my son tho cause he says the animation is much cleaner so I guess the younger audience don’t have any issues

GT was way better imo. OG Dragon Ball and Z are the best, but GT felt like it wanted to expand on the ideas and progress the characters from Z. SSJ4 being similar to SSJ3's anime transformation is a really cool connection. The dragon balls with Shenron being the ultimate villain was a great end as well.
Super just felt like continuing the series to continue it and no other reason.

Super revealed just how shallow the storytelling is in DBZ, especially after the Cell Saga. None of the most interesting character were allowed to developed pass Goku, despite being longtime fan favorites. After the Android saga none of the humans were relevant other than Bulma.

kale and caulifla I mean finally female Super Saiyans even though I thought they were a bit Bland to say the least especially Kale's final form looking like Broly's even though I like Broly from movie 8 I still thought that it was a lazy idea to make kale final form look like him I mean she looks like a an Egyptian and her controlled form looked far better in that berserk form they could have gave her her own transformation but still have it legendary.
