Felt the need to comment on this video, because after watching it, i got a single cup filter and a variable kettle, and pretty much follow your steps to the letter. Next on the list is a bean grinder. Cheers!, Just got back into CrossFit after basically having a hernia, then making excuses not to do it. Now im bang into Coffee and i'm right back into it! Love your videos mate. Thanks for the inspiration.

Hey Josh,i'm a barista,glad you are obsessed with coffee like i am,all of what you are saying is so true to the point except from the brew ratio imo the standard ratio for brewing is 100ml of water per 6g of coffee so with 24g you should be around 400mls otherwise as you said you underextract,also the water you are using plays a huge rule if it's filtered,rich in magnesium for extra sweetness since coffee is 98% water after all ;) pay him
Josh I would recommend giving it a stir once you're done with the extraction. It makes sure that everything is properly mixed as the initial drip will be much more potent at the bottom.
I feel an overwhelming amount of joy at night just before I fall asleep, as I know in the morning I will be blessed with that caffeine hit.

Since you mentioned you were getting a La Marzocco you unintentionally opened up a whole new world of espresso for me dude. I’ve been watching a ton of videos to find out why you would want a machine like that and quickly found out that my Mr Coffee espresso machine might as well have a Hasbro sticker on it, LOL. Now I’m looking at the Rancilio Silvia M and the Rocky grinder. I don’t yet know how I’m gonna get freshly roasted beans (live in South Arkansas with no real coffee shops) so bean sources would be nice if you know of any online. I for one appreciate the coffee content, fine with me.
There could be some good subscription services online where you can get coffee mailed to you! Try searching for that. I feel like Black Rifle Coffee might have one but I'm sure theres many companies that do that.

I made a video similar to this one for my channel a couple years ago while camping but never uploaded it. I’ll have to see if I can find it. We forgot filters and had to use an piece of cloth but it worked.

My 10 year old daughter says that mustache is magnificent. My Gram got her into coffee and Rich’s videos got her into rope climbing. Any tips for nursing old injuries? She broke her arm in 3 places on her first day of PreK. (Climbing on crap). She’s trying to get more competitive in sports and she complains it’s always sore. Doctors said it looks fine and should have healed but it’s genuinely bothering her. She also says that coffee looks amazing because I won’t let her have coffee. 😂 would ice baths help old broken bones?
Make my coffee like this every morning and people look at me like im crazy for taking all this time. Its so worth it. Looking forward to enjoying some Joe in a new good dudes mug.

I love coffee and I didn’t know anything about it that you shared today. Maybe you could do a weekly segment called Joe with Josh where you sit down and answer viewer questions? When I get a cup of coffee with my friends it’s usually to talk and catch up and that is what I was thinking when you taught us about coffee. Your drinking the coffee anyways and I’m sure your getting questions. Sit and sip with Josh 😂. I’d like to know what was going through your mind when you did the marathon row or even what your thoughts are on life style out side of the gym. Keep growing your brand, it’s going places.

Looks great man. I’ve heard that using a mesh filter is better because the paper ones absorb so much of the oils. Have you tried that?
My man! When i went to the pour over with a manual burr grinder, it was like a whole new life. If you've never tried, I'm always digging on some Pinon Coffee that my family send me from new mexico. If you feel like getting froggy, give it a shot, or I can hook you up my man. Keep the vids coming brother!
