I got to see this lineup play here several years ago. I was surprised & thrilled shitless to see Tony, and Billy playing that night, two other monsters besides Steve. They didn't do anything like this, but it was equally great.
A few years ago Bill Sheehan and the original Talas had a reunion concert in Niagara Falls, NY. So many young kids (teens and twenties), came out, just to see him. My younger brother is good friends with them, so I helped roadie for them. It was a hell of a show and of course Bill had to light it up on his base.

Nothing like unpretentious, fun loving music. Those guys are having a great time and the audience is loving it. What more can you ask for at a concert?
Steve vai will always be under rated. His genius is not yet fully comprehended in our era. i was raised on his licks. And total a gent. I'd love a david lee roth band reunion that was the form i liked him best, i guess because of nostalgia.

Bob, listen man, you don't know what you're talking about. This drummer is pretty sick. They're playing at over 160 BPM which is furiously fast and he didn't miss one single note, not even a grace note. Some of his quad fills and use of double bass is sensational. Also he mixes up styles, especially at 2:50 he goes funky and syncopated out the a$$. Listen man, it's a guitar show...he's not there to steal the show. peace.

There's obviously the greatness of Vai on guitar, but Billy S on bass is also one of those rare musicians who is on another level. Steve and Billy go back to the 80s when David Lee Roth was smart enough to realize that he needed something more to fill seats when he went solo.
