  • Checking in with my take on the Matt Cameron/Kiss ‘cease and desist ’ story. A similar thing happened to me earlier on my career, with Peter Criss-check out the video and be sure to watch Matt’s Stern story, too!

With all understanding applied from a fan perspective, its really hard to say how each of us would feel if we were in his shoes. At this point (for context), he's not making hardly anything off the image he created and he's watching others pull in hundreds of dollars a show to wear his makeup. Its not like he crashed a school play where kids were giving a free performance for their friends and parents. If you're making money off someone else's IP, then you do so at your own risk. Being a fan doesn't mean you have license to make money off them with live performances. Sorry but your reaction to him kind of makes his point. Criss trying to make peace with you and sign those drum sticks as a gesture of goodwill was not recognized since you went off and profited from them. So you were essentially saying your fandom was for profit. Again, I understand the investment you put into the outfits and shows probably never equaled out to whatever you pulled in from those performances, but its still a transaction for services. Lots of people make money off KISS in the secondary market and that is why you have those people to thank for the high prices everyone else got charged to meet them and buy things from them. Of course now, they have sold that right like Criss did so its up to Pophouse what they want to do in those situations. From what I hear, the cover bands are not in big demand like they use to be. KISS pretty well saturated the market and squeezed every last dime they could get out of it. Great pics btw. You guys looked really, really good. But at the end of the day its the music business, so you got a taste of the cut throat aspect of said business.

    Screw Matt Cameron.
He's a liar who made e up a story to tell.
Show is the letter Matt..... Oh, you tossed it?
