I feel that it really depends on the company. They are usually interchangeable but UI Developers tend to have their hands in both the designing portion along with the developing portion of a website or app. While a Front End Developer will work with a UI Designer and create websites and apps from mockups. Front End Developers and Front End Engineers will also work on applications on the client side that don't always have users in mind first.
Thanks so much for this. I am Ssr UI Designer and I am currently doing a Frontend Bootcamp. I've learned a lot so far, I'm doing it mostly so I can understand the whole development process and to improve my documentation. Now I know that I "could be" a UI Developer in the future.
